How do you feel abou boycotts?

Tonight I was informed that there is a french controld island off the eastern coast of africa where fishermen are using dead and LIVE dogs and cats as shark bait. Large fihing hooks are inserted into the paws and snouts of the animals and they are dragged behind the boat as shark bait. This has been confirmed by a crew from National Geographic. A petition has been started to demand the French government take immediate action to stop this horrific practice. There is also a call to boycott all french products until it's stopped.
