As we know The Da Vinci Code is a novel best seller that was created by Dan Brown. Dan Brown tries to persuade the readers with what he says as fact. This novel is very controversial, much appreciation as well as critism. Stories in the novel is taken based on the great works of Leonardo Da Vinci. Da Vinci is known scientits as well as genius artist. Many creatures such as The Last Supper, Maddona of The Rocks and Monalisa contains mystery. Many people said that this novel could affect the confidence of the Christian. I'm not sure, even though the code Da vinci painting is considered as fact. In my opinion believe in Jesus not only the simbol but more important is the teaching of virtue and love. How about you?

It is also intriguing and fiction. I don't know if I going to believe the story because it is confusing and the story in unbelievable. I like it although I don't agree with the story but the location where they shoot the movie is beautiful I think it is in France. I heard that there is another sequel of it I forgot the title. Tom Hanks again going the portray the character.

When I got the Da Vinci Code book, honestly I was so surprised for what I have read. I don't usually read bible and I don't even know the verses written on it. So, I guess the reason why it became a bestseller is that a lot of information had been revealed that many of us was awaken in that knowledge. Some says it's not true and some says the other way around. There are many speculations came out because of this novel. Even I, have the thought of believing what is written in the novel. As for my own opinion, what matters is what you really believe in, stick on to that don't get the lines get on your head. It will just make you confused for anything you have believed. What important is in your own heart, you know that there is only ONE GOD above the rest. If you're confused, pray and HE will calm your heart and soul. God bless...*wink*

Dan Brown tries to persuade the readers with what he says as fact.
That statement is in fact wrong. He doesn't try to persuade people. Before reading the book I looked through opening pages, and he states: some places are facts, but the story itself is completely fictional. There are some stories and theories that he plays with, but he admits that the idea is a story, just like the story of Angels and Demons is fiction. People aren't up in arms thinking the Illuminati are out to kill the Pope.

The Da Vinci Code is a witty novel. When we say "novel" we are saying "fiction". If this novel affects a christian, the christian must be very naïve.
The novel is not even about christianity, it´s a maze play where we are taken from one place to the other with an unexpected ending. In this novel there´s not a single paragraph commenting what Christ taught; it only proposes (fiction again) a posible marriage of the historic Christ and his offspring.
I don´t think that is important. It´s not important how many steps Christ walked in this Earth: it´s more meaningful what he taught when he was here.

I think its a wonderful book, Dan Brown is a great writer. I have read all of his books now.
While the novel does raise lots of interesting points, i dont concentrate on them. I prefer to enjoy the novel for what it is.. a novel. I dont over analyse the points it makes, i dont argue with them. I just go with them so I can enjoy the book.

I don't think it should affect the confidence of being a Christian. Having a religion believing in something conceptual in the first place. To have your faith be shaken by a work of fiction is seriously lame IMO.
It should seriously take more than a book to make me stop believing in good teachings like respect for others and loving your neighbor. I think that if we forget those kind of values is when Christians truly disrepect Jesus, and not some scandalous thing like the facts stated in the book.
Quite frankly, I think Jesus was pretty scandalous in his own right, considering how unacceptable Christianity was in the beginning :)
