What do you do on dreary days?

I was really bored yesterday, and couldn't think of anything to do. So around lunch time my little boys and I went to Walmart to do a bit of shopping, and we had lunch there too. After the rest of the kids got home from school the sun had come out and it was sort of warm, so we all went to the playground for awhile until dinner time.
I was hoping today would be nice so I could go out for a walk somewhere, or bring my little guys to a playground or something. But it's cold, windy, and yucky out there, looks like it might rain. I don't want to sit inside all day, but there's nothing else to do.
What would you do on a day like this if you just wanted to get out and do something?

That's not a bad idea... except it's not something I can do today. My little ones don't like it there, we've brought them a few times and the toddler refuses to go in any of the tubes. I don't have the money to take all the kids, and it would be pointless for just the little 2. Plus I'm not certain I could handle the stress and noise seeing as how I quit smoking only 3 days ago and still I'm not 100% right yet.

I probably would go visit a friend or something. The down side though is while I'm staying home with my kids most of my friends are busy at work so I don't have many to visit. It is nice to get out of the house. I've been going once a week to have lunch with my husband at work. I pick him up and we'll go grab something somewhere and then I take him back. I usually just catch up on housework if it is rainy outside and we can't do anything.

Any friend that I could visit today is busy. There's been times I've gone out to lunch with my hubby, but he is very busy today and has his boss's bosses in the store today. Looks like I'm just stuck being bored.

I used to hate to be in the house all day. I know how you feel. It is good to get out as it breaks up the day and the children like to get out too. My kids and I would walk on the farm or go to the river or water fall. Just something to do as I felt trapped being at home all day. Sometimes in the rain, my husband would drive us out. We would just drive and drive - mainly for me not the children!
I went back to work when the youngest boy started kindegarten. This worked out well, as I left for school after they left in the morning and returned before they returned in the afternoon You must be longing for good weather. I hope that it comes soon.

It seems that you had a bad day,how regretful it was!
What I want to say is,we can't change the weather or maybe the God's mood,we can do nothing about them. But had you think about something that can also makes us be happy when we can't go out and do something.
I have heard some really good talks about how to be happy from a person I like.He said,to be happy is simple. You can store up your happiness for one day when you feel very boring.Like the day you don't want to stay at home but you have to,you can do some happy things you have stored, then you will feel better.
Just believe that everyday is a totally different day, we have new life and many pleasant things to do.Enjoy your life and also enjoy the dreary days, you can make everyday full of worth.

Dreary days are really boring but I found out one good thing that I do. I suggest you do it too because it's a nice exercise. I do dance belly dancing. Though I'm not an expert yet but I'm trying to hone that dancing skill and exercise at the same time during boring days. I Just follow the steps in youtube. It's enjoyable. Try it.

When it is raining out or just really cold and I need something to do I love to watch a good movie. I watch alot of movies as it is but when it rains I dont even like to leave the house. I find that grabbing a blanket and jumping on the couch with my girl to watch a movie is a good way to pass the time.
