This is ridiculous!! I've been in my field for more than 10 years, have been with this company for 1 1/2 years, have leadership skills from my time spent in the military...yet I still feel like I'm making peanuts!! Sorry I just have to vent for a minute. Every day I sit here wondering if I could have so much better. It really sucks that I was in a supervisory position before having my baby and when I came back I had been replaced and was demoted back to entry level. Even 2 people who have been here only a few months have more responsibilities and respect than I am getting! I've said before that it would be great to work from home, they're just so hard to find. What can I do? Do I look for something else or just stick it out until raise time comes around in July and then see where I stand?

First, plz make yourself relaxed.don't be so worried! Second,in my opinion you are very perfect!so there is no need for any worries. It is so widely held that in modern society changing job is an opportunity for further progress.

I suggest to stay with your current job. It is a time of economic crise so better to stick to where you are right now. Just wait for the right time to come. I was previously in the situation where you are and I changed the job that time. But that time economic situation was good and I found better job. And now I am happy with that decision. So just wait, your time will come soon.

I think the best solution if you really don't like the position you're in and feel you should be in a better one is to start looking for other jobs while staying at your current one. Getting an idea just how qualified you are. If you have the experience and a good record for showing up for work and good work ethics in general i'm sure you can land a higher position then what you're in currently. If I was working in a company for let's say 10 years and I get to a managerial position and then they drop me down to all of a sudden a normal worker again I would probably immediately start looking for another job to fit my qualifications(And 10 years under someones belt isn't too shabby of a resume aha.)

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear that you have been demoted, but did you file a maternity leave before giving birth? If you did then I don't think it's right to have you demoted. Did you also asked your boss why they demoted you? They should have a valid reason for doing so cause you wouldn't be promoted to a supervisory level before for no reason just like when they demoted you now when you came back. To me you should fight for your rights for the supervisory position if you think you are qualified to which I'm sure you are cause you have been there before. If you can't have the position back after trying, I guess you have to bear the situation a little bit. It's hard to find a job these days. But don't lock your doors on trying to search for other better opportunities. Hope that helps. Ciao!
