If you got a million dollars and you were told you could give it to whoever you wanted but you or your family could not benefit from it in any way (this means you and your family cant's use it at all), who would you give it to? I would give it to a charity I think. Maybe ST Jude or donate it to people who have special needs.

Since my family and I can't benefit from it, I would donate the money to different charities and scholarship programs that I believe in.

That is nice. I know plenty of charities that could use it. I know of a couple of people who would devide it amoung their friends. I thought it would be interesting to see who would do what on here. I think I would do the same. I would give it to some charities who needed it. Thanks for responding.

You're welcome. I don't think I would divide it among my friends because I know somehow, it would still benefit me in a way. :)

A million dollars amounts to a really huge sum here in the Philippines. Do I really have to give it to somebody? Can't I just manage it and I'd be sure not to spend it on myself or to my friends? I'd like to have a private school that will be sort of a public school in terms of affordability. I'm going to come up with a great feasibility study where the school can run from donations/sponsorships and whatever I invest that remaining amount of the million dollars' earnings. I'd really rather handle the money than entrust it to somebody who might just run away with it :P
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Thanks for the response. I would like to keep the money too. I thought it might be interesting to see some of the responses if people couldn't keep the money and had to give it away. A school would be nice. A really nice school where you can send yous kids and they can prepare to go to a wonderful college because they would have come from a nice school. I would like my kids to go to a private school;-)
