Ahhhh the great State of Minnesota. You have got to love the weather or move from here I always say. The saying is something like, "March comes in like a lion, and leaves like a lamb." Or vice versa. I dunno. But this photo shows the weather on Tuesday the 31st of March in my area. It was a sloppy rain and snow mix. Got about 2 inches of slush was all luckily. The Red River area got a foot of heavy, wet, sloppy snow. So our March came in like a lamb and left like a lion with a huge roar in areas. I had temps in the mid 60's all the way down to -10F. So we did have a strange March to say the least. Now that April is here, HAH! it is sanowing again and I've gopt almost an inch on the ground and temps just belowq the freezing point of 32F. What were the extremes for your area weatherwise during March? Did April start off good? Sick of the winter yet are you?

Well, Grandapa bob it is good to see you feeling better. I was starting to miss you there. My weather is crazy here too. I went to work one day wearing blue jeans and a summer top with no sleeves. By, noon it was cloudy and raining lightly. By 5pm we had a fast quick snowstorm. by evening it was cold as all get out and I was freezing in my top! So, I get home from work and I ask hubby what is going on with the weather? He says, "That is Missouri for you, four seasons in one day! Now, you know why I wear two jackets and a shirt with my thermals and a tee shirt under it all. I know Missouri and I am ready for anything!!!" The funny thing is he is always ready I am always not! I moved here not to long ago from Texas. Where the weather there is always hot hotter and hottest! With a tornado or two tossed in for flavor. Just like their Hot Sauce, LOL Later, Grandpa BoB

Well I only need a dollar and a half so I'll be here for a bit. Hahaha! It is in the 40's and sunny today. But still have the Northern winds that are chilly.

Our March really hasn't even heard of the word lamb. haha It has been so dry and windy here. Our most extreme was in the 90's one day and in the 30's that night. Tomorrow we will be in the low 90's and in the low 70's on Friday. We sure hope that the we will get some April showers so we can have May flowers. The farmers around here aren't even able to play so I guess there will be no cotton or grain grown down here this year.

We had temperature swings of nearly 80 degrees a lot in March. So frustrating when it's 70 one day and the next it can get below zero. I hate March in Minnesota. Glad it's over.
April Snow Showers bring.........?

Hi Grandpa Bob! Summer has officially started in March here in our country. It has been really hot in this part of the globe however, this morning and the past few days we are having rains. It is weird to have rains in the summer but I do welcome it since the rain gives us a cool temperature.
Take care and God Bless!

I didn't mention the winds.
They were gusting up to 40MPH yesterday all day long.
That made the rain/snow mix even worse for driving/walking etc.

Hey Grandpa Bob! Well, our March was kind of up and down with
the weather! It came in like and lion as far as we were
concerned! And today it is in the 40's and raining heavily!
I hope that we have seen the last of the snow! We have been
getting alot of rain and are supposed to get rain for the
next few days. But, we are in dire need of it so I guess
it's ok! I just wish the temps would get up there and stay
there! I do hope Spring get's here now that April's here for
you and for me!

Same as you my dear friend as I was sitting on my front porch watching it snow.I was laughing as my roommate was having a fit about it. I'm sick of this stuff he said. Me I'm ok with it. As it is Minnesota and if your not used to it by now you really need to move south and complain about the heat is what I told him. You have a great day. Your friend onlydia

Aaahhh...but Grandpa Bob...if you look at it this way then March did go out like a lamb...for lambs are white and fluffy like snow, eh? Am I reaching for this too far? Hey, I'm from the Sonoran Desert so I don't know snow that well...it's the evil "S" word next to the "ship" with an "it".

Oh, and you don't want me to tell you about my weather...if I were to tell you how bright, clear and sunny it is outside...and how the birds are singing and you can walk in shorts and a teeshirt, you might call the Mylot cops on me for taunting you. *lol*

Here, it started sunny and beautiful... like a lamb... and towards the end, we got high winds and rain for two or three days... like the lion! So, it's been strange here too. Last year, we had snow at Easter, which is very unusual. Where the warming is in that, I have no idea! lol.
Brightest Blessings, my friend.

I can't remember how March came in around here (how soon we forget!). I think it might have been a mixed day, weatherwise, maybe a wet lamb or gentle lion. Anyway, yesterday was cool and mostly cloudy, then turned cold and windy after supper. Today, we awoke to gentle rain and now the sun is shining again.
So, March winds yesterday, April showers today. But I don't have to wait 'til May for flowers as they're already coming up... crocuses, snowdrops, coreopsis and those tiny blue flowers that I can't think of have all shown their pretty little faces, and the tulips, daffodils and hyacinths aren't far behind.

I think apart from it being cold we have had a pretty normal March, temperatures were pretty much what they should have been for that time of the year and the weather was just a mixture of sunshine and showers. Last year we had above average temperatures for march i think. So far for April the temperatures have been above average but not by much I do not think.

We had strange weather for March here in Michigan too... as it was, we had a couple days near 60 and we had snow, and we had alot of rain... and now that April is here we had a very nice day yesterday sunny and 55 but windy...and today they say we will get rain and then turn to snow and we are expecting a cold week here... I am definitely sick of the winter and so ready for summer!!!!
