I love grapes. But only green grapes. I do not care for red or purple. I eat them but first choice is green grapes. Anyhow I have some growing in my yard and hope to get a good crop this year as it is now my trhird year having them. This is a shot of some I bought recently. They are now all gone. A local grocery store always has a coupon for one free pound and we end up getting 3 pounds. So, what is your favorite grape

We certainly agree on one thing! I love green seedless grapes better than any on the market! When I was home, we had the redish/purplish grapes growing in our yard. They were good, but nothing like the big green ones. That seems to be a favorite in our whole family, grandchildren alike. But I've never received a coupon for a free pound of anything. Would be nice considering grapes are so high.

This store runs this coupon about once a month on the average except when grapes are plentiful. Noone ever gets just one pound. That is not a lot of grapes really. This was nearly 3 p[ounds total in what we bought. So it was still a good deal.

Hard to understand that gibberish.

Bummer.
Here in Minnesota we eat watermelons mostly in the hot months as they are very exspensive during the fall and winter.

How do you grow grapes, do they sell grape seeds? I'd love to grow some and have raisins and grapes! I prefer flame grapes, they are sweet and yummy.
The trouble with the grapes in the store is that they are so sour!! I'll see some that look so delicious then I taste one and it's almost like biting into a lemon.

No not seeds.
They come as a plant already growing.
I paid I think $6 for one vine.
Read what variety they are and learn the names and tatses.
Kay Gray is what I have and they are sweet with a slight tartness.
nope just for looks it seems HAHAHA!

I like green grapes best, but the purple ones are ok too. I don't like any with seeds in them!
I hardly ever use cupons...I should...just don't.
I guess grapes are my favorite fruit. I like strawberries too, and I love oranges but can't have them anymore cause they make my sugar go up.

Gotta have them seedless varieties here as well.
We have a big stretch of strawberries out back
in our garden as well.
Yummy. Nothing like picking and eating a homegrown strawberry.

When I go to the buffet I hit the salad bar and get the fresh fruits first. The one they have most often is strawberries and bananas in a strawberry suace. Yummy.

I like all grapes except the ones with the seeds, and I grew up only eating green grapes since those are the ones my mom likes. But I've found I prefer the red grapes for some reason. That free pound is a great deal. Grapes here are around 1.99 a pound or more, once in a blue moon they go on sale for 99 cents and I'll buy the biggest bunch I can find.
It would never have dawned on me to try to grow grapes. I'm determined to grow something this year, so far I have a package of tomato seeds. I really have no excuse for not getting my lazy butt outside to plant them, since it is actually halfway decent out this week. I'll have to see if grapes can grow in containers in NJ, I love grapes and could save a lot of money that way.

i love the dark blue grapes cause they are sweeter but much expensive though here in my place. cause we export it here. we don't grow grapes in our country. anyways, the darker the color the more expensive it is. but it does not necessarily mean it is always the sweeter. but i still prefer the darker color. but i was not able to buy always cause of the high price. and also sometimes i get tired of eating the same fruit.

Here in Minnesota it is not an easy task to grow grapes as the winter can last from September until May. A very short time for them to grow. But I have had a little sucess so far. Hoping for a better one this year.

I love grapes too especially the purple ones, lol.... We're all different! My grandparents had a grape vine grow in their back yard but they didn't pick it much, I wish I knew why but I don't. They did eat grapes but they didn't pick from their own vine but we kids did! They were sooo good!! lol But I never knew what the names were. I've wanted to get some to grow myself but I don't know which they were and as far as I remember, I believe they were the purple ones and they were gooey like and they had seeds. Do you have a clue to which ones they are? Another inquiring mind! lol

As a kid we had a huge thing of grapes. Many vines along a 50 foot fence in our yard. I got sick of purple/red grapes so I guess that's why I like green better. No idea the name of the ones you talk about. LOL.
