You have more schooling, experience.....yet someone else fills a position

It has happened to me time and time again. I am goingto school for a career and I would like to work part time somewhere in that field. I see someone else get that position, come to find out I have more schooling and knowledge than she does. Doesn't it irritate you that "if you know someone" or "have the last name" they seem to be able to get the jobs, stay out of trouble, etc.. Then here some of us are struggling to make it day to day, to get that position, getting the education, knowledge, and working towards that degree.
Has this ever happened to you?

i know what you mean. hubby has been looking for work for awhile now. they keep telling him he is over qualified. he doesnt care he just wants a job. he has great experiance and great work history but no one wants to give him a job cause he knows to much. seems like poeple would rather have an employee that they dont have to worry about. he has been passed up by jobs cause of peoples relatives needing work too. that one just is the worst. they hire some punk kid cause it is a cousin or something and the kid cant even add without a caculator.
