Quid pro quo is defined as an equal exchange amongst involved parties. That means if someone does you a favor, then you return the favor.
Lets take MyLot for example: quid pro quo in this context would mean if someone responds to your discussion, you repay them by responding to their discussion.
Do you think quid pro quo should apply to real life as well? Do you believe in it?

Yes I do. I fact, down here in small town south Florida there's a lot of quid pro quo going around in every day life. Lot's of folks do things for others and those same people return the favor in some fashion. It's like the barter system...a skill traded for another skill. My husband owns a motorcycle shop...he's amazing with bikes but not so good with those little four wheelers that folks are bringing in. So, he has my youngest daughter's boyfriend handle them and he pays him for his time. In return for this extra income, and without asking us in advance, Reed powerwashed our house which really needed it due to the ash from the burning of the sugar cane fields near us. This is not a true example because money changed hands but it's still the same concept. We did a favor for Reed and he did something for us in return.

hey thats really nice that your daughter's boyfriend did that. I know some people who just believe in taking without giving anything back.
