yes Slumdog millionaire is a good movie. It tells us the story of a boy living in slums becoming a millionaire.I think this movie criticizes Indians of being in poverty.

I find movies that depict a certain social enviroment a bit boring, but I liked Slumdog Millionaire. I watched it a few weeks ago and became fascinated with the talent of Danny Boyle. He manages to denounce the situation of kids that are born in the Indian slums and to tell a wonderful fable about hope and love at the same time. Kids from the slums are invisible, they donĀ“t have birth certificates and anyone can use them to anything just like pieces of furniture.
But this is not a sad movie because Boyle tells the story like a fairy tale, in a way that resembles "Life is Beautiful" by Roberto Benigni. In this way, the spectators leave the cinema with a smile in their faces and wanting to learn more about socioeconomic differences in India.
In my opinion, Slumdog Millionaire deserves all the awards it won.

I have never seen Slumdog Millionaire yet, however though; my cousin and his fiance got me hooked on the soundtrack for it. I should make a point of renting that movie very soon or buy it when I have some extra cash laying around.

hello sinokirin :-) i have seen the slumdog millionaire and it really is a good movie. i recommend you to watch it. it is a film that depicts poverty in india. the movie is amusing though because it unfolds while the main character is a contestant in who wants to be a millionaire. it deals with poverty and misery but is also a feel good movie and ends happy. watch it so yu won't be curious about it anymore. the movie is not academy awards best picture fo nothing.

I watched this movie a while ago and I can honestly say that it has left a huge impression on me. If you do not know, it is the story of a young Indian boy that comes from the slums or poverty of India and joins a game show. It depicts the ways that he is able to answer the questions even though he has never learned much of the information that he needs to answer the questions. It is a great movie and I highly recommend it!
