Does she stink? 12 years old is about right. Some kids use it earlier. It is a question of how much they need it or not. Does she live with you? Isn't this a parental issue?

she doesnt stink. but she feels that she needs it. and my little sister lives with me. she is 9 years younger than me. i have been taking care of her since she was a kid ( not always.. my mom does it all the time. i do it when mom is preoccupied). and she feels comfortable to share things with me. mom is also equally concerned about this issue. and responses from this discussion can help mom decide .
have a great day and thanks for sharing dear.

Well, if she doesn't come in smelling like the great outdoors she probably doesn't need it, but it may be a self esteem issue. She is probably just self-conscious about it. It's no big deal though; it's not as if deodorant is going to harm her in some way.

I used to use antiperspirants in years past before I got cancer, then my wife told me to stop using them. She said that they put poisons into your body and help to cause cancer. Now I just do not using any kind of deodorant on the underarms. I do not think that I smell lol.

I started using them about the age of 12 or 13 so I think that is about the right age. I have heard that deo will put toxins in your body, but nearly everything in this day and age does so. However, there are some deodorants that do NOT do this. Me and my grandmother use them. They can be found in health food stores. I just cant stand the thought that I might be smelling bad...because really, can you smell yourself? You become accustomed to your smell in a few moments and you never know exactly what you smell like.

I started using deodarants/fragrances/perfumes when i was about 10/11, i use them because they smell proper gorgeous! and for when you sweat it really refreshens you, i always take one out in my handbag when i go anywhere incase i get too hot. Also, we use it when we hit puberty aswell, as you sweat more often and it tends to cause an odour, deodarants keep the smell away and make you smell nice, it also avoids you from getting embarrassed when you have been sweating throughout the day. Its definitely an important product to me.
