Another Korean War?

As most of you know, there was a war in South Korea from 1950-1953. It involved the US and a variety of different factions fighting the North Korea and China.
Well, North Korea is getting ready to launch a nuclear missle. "A statement from the North's official Korean Central News Agency warns "if hostile forces make any slight move to intercept" the planned launch, the North's military will retaliate with force."

Hi why do you all people think Only the American way.North Korea has said that it is launching its own Satellite which America and its allies feel is a Nuclear missile. I am from a neutral country and believe that if really North Korea is launching its own Satellite it has every right to launch it .But if if is testing a nuclear missile it is a bit scary.

I do not think that North Korea will start another war. North Korea knows that we have the capability to destoy them; however, it may be that North Korea will join with China in the future in a war on the United States. China is building up a huge military force. China does not so many tanks and soldiers to defeat The Republic of China. China only needs a huge military to go to war with us. I think that China wants to attack the United States in order to send a lot of their people over here. If the United States has to face both the huge armies of North Korea and China, then that could be a problem.

My God you are being paranoid! Don't forget the country that is the only nuclear rogue nation is the US - no other country EVER has used a nuclear bomb except America. No other country goes and invades another country for oil. China never invaded Iraq, US did. No one goes on a killing and torture rampage except the US. I am sure you won't be aware of the image of the US across the globe living the US, because I know most Americans can't think of a world out of their own supremacy.
Why do you think China wants to attack the US? In fact, if the US feels threatened, then it will start another cold war with China, and China needs to defend itself. All the military capability of China is only in self defense, because for obvious reasons they cannot trust America.
The country responsible for most wars, most deaths, most weapons and most destruction in the world is America, not China. Start to acknowledge the truth. China has no reason to attack US, but US doesn't need a reason to attack, like Iraq. So China has to be careful. I fully support China.

I think that North Korea and China have allied for a long time. Five years ago I was in a observer group to visit North Korea. The 15 year old boys in this country were often as small as 10 year old boys in Europe. How could such a poor country have financial source for nuclear programs? So, the only possibility is the support from China. Yes, it's the way China like - attacking without appearing.
But I don't think that the US like to fight alone. In the G20 meeting, US, Japan, South Korean also ask a punishment for North Korean. And I think China will stand outside because it does't want to confess the role of supporter.
@-siddharlife: I doubt the truth you tell us to acknowledge. Do you know that in China, the citizens don't have the right to watch videos on Youtube? So do you think that Chinese Government always announce clearly their politics? I say no, they don't kill the other by oil, or weapons; they put melamine in your food, and many things else that I don't want to cite here. I just think there's no truth in the political world.

nuclear wars are always scary, it just takes one nut to trigger a nuclear bomb that can cause world war three, or one that will kill the world 33 times over again. Many people believe we live in the age of the end times. Human kind has the power to destroy the planet and everything in it.

I'm Chinese. Maybe China is prepared for a war, but at the very moment,there is no way that China will start a war for North Korea. The country just has too much more important affairs to care about. As long as USA doesn't attack North Korea, there will be no war.

No matter how tough posturings North Korea has, reality still bites and the facts that they must face is that they cannot engage in a full scale war and if they do, they would probable be crushed under the weight of an invasion army in just a month.
Their economy is collapsing and we all know in a long protracted war, the question of economics cannot be ignored. They do have a million troops in the border but i dont think they are all well-equipped as the units of South KOrea. All those rhetorics that they are saying in the media are just bluffs. They cannot win in a full scale war and they know it so they wont even start one much less provoke one so they resort to such poor propaganda.
We must also not forget Uncle sam or Japan within their striking distance. But what worries perhaps most people is when the North Korea is on the verge of defeat and they are desperate, I dont think they have the same resrtraint of the Americans and the rest of the world to ot use nukes.

It's very sad that on this century there's still some Asian countries who still prefer to live in the past. this proves that the North Korean Government really disregards about their people, and put military on the line first. 
I hope now that Former President Bill Clinton has helped freed the Journalist, pretty sure but not immediately KIm Jong Ill would cooperate and pursue six party talks on disarmament on their Nuclear Arsenal. @coldmoon (1088)

I don't think this war will happen soon. Those countries have to solve the recession first of all, because it's hard to start a war with weak finance capacity. And we still have time to stop this harmful germ. Anyway, the poorest nation will be the weakest, so it never wants to be in war.

I did not go to the link....but I have seen enough reports on the news, some documentary's in the last few weeks, and they have shaken me up! I truly, truly hope that this does not come to fruition, as the last the I saw late last night was that Japan is NOW seriously in the mix, and meeting threat with threat! There is sooooo much unrest in the world now too..as Russia is flexing it's muscles again! Sadly enough...it seems...we are ALL hostile forces to North Korea! Cheers!

I see in the future that we will have another war with North Korea. I hope we do liberate there country and end another threat to the world, Cuba is another problem that we probably should deal with.

It is unfortunate that North Korea is not ready to leave the path of confrontation. Though, I don't see much news about North in Indian Media, but what I know is that the economic condition of the country is not good. There is widespread hunger. In fact, during the six party talks they have specifically demanded stuffs to feed their citizens and off course oil.
There is another danger in this scenario. Terrorist organisation are ready to pay anything in exchage of deadliest arsenal. North Korea may have got the capability build the Nukes. If this is true then it is matter of deep concern since they may sell it to get hefty sum of money.
They should learn from South Korea. South Korea needs also to keep nuclear enabled missiles or allow the US to do so, so that they may thwart any eventuality.

I hope nothing serious happens but let me tell you that north korea is in deep trouble if they try anything stupid because Japan and the US military have their eyes wide open on them. Secondly the S.Koreans will react immediately if something happens. In any Case I am not a war freak and hope this dispute will be dealt with diplomatically.
