favourite river or pond

If you live in a countryside, every person has a favourite lake, pond or river from childwood. Where I live there is a river that we all enjoyed. So there are times as children we go to the river and catch fish, or we spend long hours diving and swimming in the water. And sometimes when our tap water is gone we go to the river to fetch water for cooking and other purposes. Its really an enjoyable moment. The only thing I dont like about the river, when there is no tap water in our district the river get crowded with people and because of the amount of swimming and washing in the water it got dirty, other than that i love the river its bring back good memories.

I live near a riverside and we enjoy its view too.Its one of the largest river in the world.Its Ganga .The scene of high tide ,view of boats and ships sailing ,children and men swimming ,women washing clothes is very lovely.i dont go to fetch water from the river but i visit there every week mostly on Sundays.The view of sunset and sunrise is breath taking.It gets polluted with waters coming from huge idustries.I like fishing and cooking by the river side.It indeed brings back the childhood memories.Rated you for this discussion !!
