Do you use your cell phone while driving?

The state I live in made it against the law to talk on your cell phone while driving unless you have a hands-free device. Talking on a cell phone while driving is considered a secondary offense here and unless you are doing something else illegal (speeding, no turn signal, etc.) you won't get pull over/ticketed.
I will admit that I do occasionally use my cell phone while I'm driving and I don't have a hands-free device. I keep the conversations very short and always pay close attention to the road. If I get a call while driving and there's alot of traffic, I will tell the person I'll call them back when I get home and hang up (or not even bother to answer the phone). However, I never text message.
How about you? Do you use your cell while driving? Do you use a hands-free device? Do you text message while driving? Do you know what the law is regarding cell phones and driving where you live?

We arent allowed to talk on cellphones while we are driving, not even if we are using a speaker phone. I have been fined a few times for doing so. I guess such a law is for our own protection so that we can concentrate on the road and avoid accidents rather than chatting with our friends.

Hi bindishah! I think that our law should be the same. Having this law and making talking on a cell phone a secondary offense is kind of pointless. Have a good day!

It is against the law here too.
And it is good that it is not aloud.
A few years back I still had a car, and sometimes I would use my cell phone.
I know it is not good. But, I admit, I did sometimes.
Though it is not something I advise people to do!
Take care.
