How many hours in a day is your computer kept on ?

To be honest mine is on 24/7, downloading, gomez peer that pays me to keep my computer on.
So its like a money earning machine lol but the money is not that much.
If you are interested in gomez ask me its a wonderful way to earn money for soing nothing.
Also what measures are you taking to help save energy ? I use a software which makes the optimum use of my laptop making it save about 40 % of energy.

I too have my laptop on just about all the time due to I have online classes and lots of work to do for them. This site your talking about that pays you to be online,have you gotten paid by this site yet? And if so how long did it take to reach payout. I would like to know more please.

Its nice to know you are teaching online, what are you teaching, teacher? ;)

Hi.
My system usually keeps running for about 14 to 15 hours a day.
Half of it on my desk at the office and the rest at my room.

Technically, my computer is on 24 hours a day. However, I have it set to go on standby when it is not in use for more than about 20 minutes. This means it's on standby overnight while I sleep (about 6 hours) and while I am at work during the day (about 11 hours) All in all, that leaves 7 hours where my computer is officially ON.

my computer is on 24/7 also, the only time my goes of is if we have a storm and the power goes off then i reset it. i usually do not turn my computer off on my on though. i leave it on to get new updates and it actually keeps my computer clean of viruses for me, what does it do for you?

Well my Desktop's open for bout' whole ov the day.. xcludin the nite 8 hours.... as i keep it switched on... az Music' plays on ma Desktop... and any otha stuff like watchin movies etc... Howeva ma Tablet.. i.e the Touchscreen laptop... it's on 24/7 ... as i use it for all the Torrent downloads and stuff.. and for all ma Art stuff.. and Chatting n surfing.. and surely i use the Lowest power state possible using all the Vista settings available..... Gud topic buddy... worth a response... :)

Hmmm.... Since I am using the laptop, I get to save electricity for like 2 hours, then recharge it again fro the next 2 hours. Hehehe. I guess you would say it is open 24/7 since my sisters are also using the computer.
