Oh my, I can recall a time when we were little and a tornado hit. We were up in Northern Wisconsin camping out with my dad, and I want to say I was around 9 or so. We had this little two man orange pup tent that was pretty much whipping around with all the wind. My father had on the radio listening to see how close it was. He used to be a tornado spotter in his younger days. After a bit he looked outside and the next thing I know he's grabbing us tossing us into the car, throwing stuff into the trunk without even wrapping up, and we were hauling bum!
Turns out the tornado touched down not too far from us and we were right in it's path. It was quite the story to tell at school on Monday lol.
What about you? What was your storm like?

A buddy and I were on the river, we had a lot of wind rain and hail but no tornado. Not to many of those in Arkansas.

Camped once in really bad thunder and lightning. This was a really bad storm. I was worried that the lightning might strike the tent. Altho we were all fine just quite scared, and then flooded in the morning.

We love to camp and every year we tend to push it a little. Last year we camped in a blizzard (yes in a tent). It was great! We have been in rain storms, wind storms, snow storms. I don't mind it as long as I can stay dry. We always take our three large dogs so we get plenty of heat!

Yes I was in a tent all alone with my dogs, my husband had to attend to a emergency that day, he was on call, and in the morning the sun was shinning it was a beautiful day, but by noon the rain started. Me and my dogs got into our tent and I just read my book trying to wait the storm out, but then the winds got so high I thought it was going to blow me, my dogs, and the tent away. I got out and got into the car with the dogs and just then as I stared the car, way across the lake was a tornado luckily it was going in the opposite direction. Needlesly to say I got the heck out of there and to safety.
