As a breadwinner in family of five, iam exposed to every kind of financial stress. It is difficult to handle this one kind of stressor. But in the process you have to believe in your own will and stand on your both feet, after all, it is ONLY Y-O-U whom they (family members) rely to for survival. At least for the same being. Iam just like any other breadwinner who occasionally gets headaches from piles of expenses that need to be paid. Iam just like any other breadwinner who gets depressed when experiencing money shortage. But, iam just like any breadwinner who gets happy upon seing his/her family is living a good life.
Whenever my friends and co-worker asks me how i handle financial stress, i answered them with a smile, then followed with my secret tips in handling them:
1. Plan your budget and follow them
2. Take your finances seriously
3. Keep track of your expenses
4. Minimize spending as much as you can
5. Reward or Treat your self once a while
6. Look for another ways how you could earn extra income
How about you? how do you handle your financial stress?

when my husband and I faced a big financial strain on our lives when our baby had a medical problem, we really prayed HARD! We were really not able to spend for other things than food and what can keep us alive. Once in while, we rewarded ourselves. Of course, we were able to borrow money from relatives. once our baby was on her way to recovery, I handled the budget, didn't buy things that were not important. We also stopped going out for awhile. No movies, no night outs, no eating out. Slowly, we were able to pay our debts and we are now able to save a little. Though we still have about 800K in debt, we know we can easily surpass it slowly. We still minimize our expenses but we still reward ourselves at times. Specially now that our daughter has so much life in her and knows how to ask for a few days out.
We always try to look at the positive side of things. We know we will be able to get through it. Money is just money, it can always be earned.
Congrats to you because you are the sole bread winner! At least I have my husband and he has me. Keep up the great work!
