I absolutely love cooking. I grew up eating the same 'ol recipes every week. We would have meatloaf, mashed potatoes and a vegetable or chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and gravy. There was not much variation in our weekly meals only if we ate at someone else's house. When I graduated highschool and moved out I did not start cooking right away or even know that I could cook. I could make the basic stuff but nothing fancy. When I was 23 I started experimenting with recipes and making them my own. This became a fun hobby and mostly I enjoyed seeing everyone get their tummies full with a smile on their faces. I am now 31 and have taken the old basic recipes I once had and turned them into new, fresh ones that my family enjoys. You should never be scared to experiment with different foods and spices, you never know you just might come up with your family's favorite dish!! Does anyone else enjoy creating new, fresh recipes? Are there any recipes you would like to share? I would be willing to share some of mine if I get some responses and I would love to hear some of yours!! Happy cooking!!

Happy cooking Steph. I love cooking too. I really started blossoming with my cooking when I was in my mid 20s. I took recipes that I found in books and started adding my own touch and alterations to it. The best recipes to play with are ones that you can sample. I love getting the recipes from Publix or one of those other cooking demonstration set-ups where you can sample the food and have the recipe to take home with you. Then I play with it and tweak the recipe when I make it at home. What's your favorite food? I have sooo many recipes for so many occasions. Plus I incorporate my Pampered Chef business into it as well. My two favorite things, cooking and teaching. If you want to PM me I can give you the link to my website that has recipes on it and the other links that I have saved into my accounts. Try them out and tell me what you think...maybe you can even help me tweak some of the other ones. Happy myLotting and cooking!
