Something new

Hi guys! What are the things that you do to release your stress? Before when I was in highschool and college, I am a member of a dance organization or cheering squad. Wayback, dancing is my one way to release stress after spending sometime doing feasibility studies etc etc. Then after college when I started working, I thought of joining dance classes or workshops. But dancing... again! I want something new so I thought working out in a gym to exercise is a good thing after a long day in front of my computer. But now, I want something new again. Maybe playing tennis, badminton or bowling. How about you guys? What are your stress relievers? Share what kind of activities you are in for you to be more relaxed after a stressful day at work or at school.

I enjoy walking a lot, that's been my favorite stress reliever eversince I came here! I like it especially with my ipod on, then I usually go to the park very near our place and take pictures of the views. It helps me a lot to make me more relaxed. =)

hahaha! You have a point. Yeah, it's sad, I hope we could be more disciplined there, Philippines is such a wonderful group of islands to totally get destroyed. Think Green! hehe!

Whoah. That's great. Walking is one thing that I would love to do. I envy you because I can't do that here. There you have fresh air, and nice views. Here, pollution, dust and trashes. You know, our country is beautiful, but the people really are the ones destroying its beauty. So whenever we want to walk, it will make our day even more stressful. Not to mention the super hot weather. Hehe!

Well for me just being online relaxes me somehow. I think I really like going online and it helps me to unwind especially when I am at home. As to other activities I like going to beaches if I can afford that is the best thing to unwind myself. I recently went to one and it was such a great adventure and relaxation. Just the sound of the waves from the sea makes me lull to sleep. I love the beach most especially.

Its hard for us to do it most of the time. Hehe! But hey, that is indeed one great way of relaxing. Thanks for sharing and happy myLotting rsa101!

That is really true. Beaches are pretty expensive especially if you in the city they seem to be more expensive traveling to those place.

after a stressful day, my only comfort is a good relaxation in front of the tv watching my favorite movies, or tv series. :D hehe

Hi chiyosan! What are your favorite movies and tv series? Do you usually watch those together with popcorn or chips? Can I have some? LOL. This is really another way of relaxation. But not too long infront of the tv huh. That will make our eyes swell! Hehe! Thanks for responding :)

When I come home from work I like to sit in my recliner and get my CD's out and put them on. I wear a head phone so I get no other noise other than my music. It doesn't take long for the stress to leave me and I can relax all the way.

Hi pameehubsch, I am a huge lover of music. I like to listen to Yanni, Enigma, Celtic Women. Are just a few of the music I listen to. There are other types but these are what I listen to if I am wanting stress to leave me.

You must be a music lover. What kind music do you listen to most of the time? I think music really helps. I do listen to music when I am at work. So that somehow, when I'm about to scream because my workloads, I'll just sing along with the song that I am listening to. (Even if I have a terrible voice, LOL!)

Hey pamee! To relax and de-stress, I play with my puppy, or my niece. There's something about kids and dogs that makes it impossible to stay unhappy! Or if I'm really mad I'll blast some angry music and sing along, very loudly and not well at all. LOL. My 3 year old niece loves to dance with me and we make up silly songs and dances and I can't help but laugh. If you really want to laugh (which is the best de-stresser) go on youtube and search for babies laughing. There's some great ones on there!!

Hi cortypants! You know, I envy you for having a puppy. I love to have one but I can't because I have history of asthma. *sigh* But I do love babies. They are all cute and you are right, just by watching them laugh, its impossible for us not to laugh too! I saw some videos of babies in you tube. And I like the smart pants dance video. The baby so smart and cute! Try to search for it or maybe you saw it already. =)

Well, i don't join any organizations in my school now, i just find that their activities were not regular and i was looking for a just for fun kind of activities so i hate that they were trying to get all serious on me. I love spots, like netball, badminton but i'm bad at bowling...really...So usually after a stressfull day at school, i'd most probably go for a jog...Keeps me feeling fresh and energetic even if the later effects were fatigue...lol..^_^

When I was in high school, I like to do some hiphop dancing with my friends to relieve stress or play volleyball. When I was in college, I met a group of Yogis (practitioner of Yoga) so I started doing yoga ever since. Yoga is good as a stress reliever, and a form of exercise. I am still doing yoga until these days.
