Titanic is a 1997 American romantic disaster film directed by James Cameron about the sinking of the RMS Titanic. It features Kate Winslet as Rose , and Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson, two members of different social classes who fall in love aboard the ill-fated voyage of the ship. The main characters and the central love story are fictional, but some characters (such as members of the ship's crew) are based on real historical figures. Gloria Stuart plays the elderly Rose, who narrates the film in a modern day framing device. Please shre your knowledge here..

Yes, there really was a jack dawson but he was a third class passenger like he is in the movie. He was part of some crew on board titanic.

There was no Jack Dawson on the Titanic. He is a fictional character. Do a search of the ships manifest

I really love that movie! I love TITANIC! Very romantic and very moving! Very sad also because of what happened to the characters. Happy MyLotting!

my bad.. there was a Joseph Dawson he was 23 yrs of age and worked in the engine crew of the Titanic.
