do you like stashing food inside your bedroom?

At home it has been our habit that every time any of us would buy food we put it inside the refrigerator so that anyone can eat on it if they want to. We like sharing what we have for everyone in the family. Though I know several people who loves stacking their food inside the room for convenience, they do not like to get out of the room for food. Do you stash food inside your room or you prefer to share it with the rest of the people at home. Please share.

i hate bringing the food inside my room. cause i don't want to make the room smell cause the food emits odor or leave some smell inside the room i usually keep it sitting on the table or just have it stored inside the refrigerators. and mostly when i brought food inside the room i will not get to eat also i will just leave it there cause mostly i have eaten already. and so i will not get hungry after wards and so the food will just stink on the following day if i just leave it there. even after some hours some times the food will just spoil. anyways, i just don't feel that hungry when i bring the food the room. food seems to taste better when i eat that on the kitchen and not anywhere else in the house. i used to eat anywhere. but i am not in the habit of doing that once.

yeah food should taste great wherever you eat it in your home. maybe because i don't have a good place or room to eat my food so that is why i don't find it comfortable to eat inside my room. i have such a small room. and there is so much stuff on my room. and i don't have any table in my room actually to place my food.

I used to stash junkfoods inside my bedside drawer so that my mom won't see them. She gets mad whenever we eat them because of the many ill effects that they bring. I was still young then. Another reason is I like the feeling of having a stock inside my room. Like I was living in a flat of my own, with a stock of my own...I even wanted to bring the ref to my room just to complete the illusion. LOL

i am used to buying stuffs and keeping it in the refrigerator but it is a unspoken rule in our house that before consuming anything one should ask/share with the other family members.when i was a youngster,i used to do this stacking whrn i didnot want it to be shared.

yes i do. since high school, i live away from my parents and renting apartments on my own. i do groceries most often and would buy ready-to-eat foods. i stuck them in a specific cabinet in my bedroom so i wont have to come out. some apartments i lived in has built in fridge but its mostly it's located in the living room so everyone whose renting can use it as well.. at home, i dont stuck food in my bedroom. it's always in the kitchen but we can bring it anywhere of course. my mother is very particular with red ants and dirts..

I would understand why you need to stash food since you are just renting and others might get the food that you have bought. That is what my concern too that if i put the food in the bedroom the ants and rats my feast on it and it may even cause damage to some of our furniture and equipment at home. we need to be extra careful in stashing food.

I stash candy, gum, and small snacks in my bedroom. Granola, sometimes. Mostly because my brother will eat it if I don't keep it in sight...not because I'm not supposed to have it.

we are only three in the family. me, my wife and my child. so if i keep food in our bedroom then everyone will benifit too. i put it in a big tupperware so we dont have to go out of the room if we want to eat something like cookies and chips. me or my wife just brings in juice or something hot to sip but we keep some food in our room.

I actually have a fridge outside of bedroom but I find it hard to keep it filled with anything. Certain things I don't mind sharing, other things I know i better put in a hidden location because if I don't it'll all be gone before I ever go for it. The main reason why I would put food near my bedroom is for convenience. A midnight snack, a drink while I'm on the pc or a bottle for me and my man.

Hello, thanks for the response. That is what most of the people I know would tell me that it is for convenience for you can get anything to munch on when you feel like eating it. Thanks for sharing. Would you mind sharing what do you usually stash inside you bedroom? I am afraid to do it for ants might smell on it and try to live in the container where i have my food.

I spend alot of time in my room writing so I do put some snacks in my room. I get hungry and am too into what i am doing to even go to the bathroom. I am on the kind of diet where I eat about five snack type meals per day so having some food items in my room is paramount. I certainly do share and buy alot of groceries that go into the refrigerator. It all works out.

No, my problem is that I don't have a refrigerator at home so, even if I want to stash I can't do that. Thanks for the discussion.

Well, it is just my hubby, me and the two kids. So, we all know are likes and dislikes. Everyone get's so many things that they like and then the rest of the food is for the family meals. So, like if one of the kids wants a snack they have their own snacks and their own place in the kitchen for them. As for me and the hubby it is the same way. So, it works out great because we all know the rules and follow them. The kids like to eat in their rooms so that they can listen to their music or watch T.V. or what ever but, they also know they can't leave plates or anything in their room and no spilling if they do they clean it up ASAP! And, they do a good job of it! **Peace and Love get's you through everything in Life**

I can see that everyone at home has a stock of the food that they like to eat. It is really good if this happens in your family. Thanks for sharing.

Bad idea. You can get all kinds of roaches, or bedbugs from eating in your room. Even with regular cleaning, it's likely that crumbs will get into hard to reach areas. It only takes 2 and they're all over your room with no signs of ever leaving.

for me, i do not keep food in my room because i do not want ants or cockroaches or rats to invade my room. and in our family, we share our food to everyone else. we are such a small family we do not have problems of sibling fighting for food. but i know of a friend who hides food because some members of the extended family will finish it off in the blink of an eye.

That is true, if there are only a few of you living at home you always share what you have without worrying that your siblings would eat everything that you have. Having other people at home who doesn't have respect and would get anything inside the refrigerator without asking permission is really a pain in the neck. As fpr me it is okay for them to eat as long as they have to tell the owner so that I won't be looking for it. Thanks for sharing.

I'm the head of the household so just about everything I buy is to be shared with the family. I give everything to my family because I do myself which is just how it has been with me. Now once in a while, I will put away a little treat for myself, it's so rare, not even once a month, so I really enjoy those little treats when I get them.

There are some things that I hide where the kids cannot find it just because they will be asking for it constantly if they know I have it. I used to keep some stuff stashed in my nightstand drawer, but then my son found my stash. I have been leaving most things out lately.

It is just me and husband at home so we really do not have any reason to stash food in the bedroom. We believe in having a place for everything and having everything in its place and for us we don't think the bedroom is the proper place to store food. It is a different matter if there is a ref in the bedroom. But then, we don't like a ref in the bedroom because it would be a big temptation for us to eat in between meals--bad idea for those who are on a diet. Hahaha.

I like to have my food inside my room, however it's not because i am not willing to share food with other people at home but i feel casual in my room.Basically,i won't have snacks in room at daytime.I will store some of my favorite food in my room in case that i'll get hungry at midnight. If there are other people in living room in the day,i'll share food with them and i chat with them when we eat.
