At work i user RDP service provided by microsoft as well as VNC server to access the remote machines for all the windows based machines. For Linux or Unix plain SSH connection does all the work required from a command line and for the GUI for unix we user Xmanager. Take care.

Yup! I am using logmein.com. It's pretty cool! I got my computer at home and in the office connected. So whenever I need a file from my computer at home, I will just ask my room mate to turn my computer on so I could access it. I also access my office computer sometimes. =)

Yes, I love the remote assistance/remote desktop idea. I'm a member of the LogMeIn site, I think they are very good, I only use the free version but it is more than adequate. Anyway, I'm looking for some people to potentially help out using this facility. Andrew

I am using Logmein. It is the easiest way to connect to the remote PC. Free version lacks some of the features like sound, file transfer, etc., but if you need it to control your torrent machine or just to remote fix something it is the best solution. I don't like Teamviewer because I'd have to stick my IP address to the specific DNS because my IP changes every 24 hours and because of this Logmein seems to be more convenient to use. Teamviewer has better features, but if you don't need remote desktop for something advanced it would be overkill... Happy mylotting.
