My husband's newest car project is now ironically a 1982 Nissan 280ZX. His father, who is deceased, bought the car for my mother-in-law as a gift. Ironically, he bought a few days before he passed away in a plane crash. When she remarried, her new husband tried to get her to sell it. However, being that it was a gift from her first husband, it holds a great deal of sentimental value and there was NO WAY she was going to get rid of it. Instead, she put it in storage for several years. It wasn't until recently that she finally gave it to her son.
There are some rather minor repairs that need to be done to it which makes me believe that her new husband drove it during those years, broke it, and never told her about it. She knows now though. She has also been nice enough to help my husband out financially with the repairs. I think it's great that she is doing this because it helps form a bond between her and her son. Plus, it gives them something to remember his father by. My husband lost his father when he was only 6 years old and I know he wants to know more about him.
My husband is great with cars and if you have any questions about this car or have any advice to give, please feel free to let he or I know. His handle is listed on my friends list as CobraGT75.
Have you ever had a car like this with such sentimental value? Let me know.

drpo and clean the gas tank and clean the fuel injectors now its just a matter of putting it all back together and firing it up ive taken several pictures and will post them as soon as i can
