We hadn't seen a single episode of Lost's first season. We had no clue what it was about, and frankly, no interest in finding out. Then our son gave us the first season of lost as a Christmas gift because he's a fan and he felt we might like it too. Well, we didn't even open the box for months, but when we did we were hooked from the first episode. We have purchased every season since then. Part of the magic and originality of Lost is the fact that re-watching can be even more informative than the original viewing. Your question is a difficult one to answer for several reasons. As always with a series, we are at the mercy of the writers' imaginations. I see the ending of the Lost series, not so much as the end of the kind of story that's like a sidewalk where you walk to the end, take in the view and your walk is over. Lost is going to be more like the knitting together of multiple story lines. If it's done well, we'll have a fine-looking afghan to enjoy over and over. Some movies and television series are character-driven, script-driven or action/efects-driven. Lost is all of this and more. To me, the unique thing Lost offers the viewer is that it is also possibility-driven. I don't think we have seen a single episode of Lost without having several lively conversations about the possibilities offered within it. For us, that's the great appeal of continuing to watch. I know I haven't answered your question, but that's because I think that there are still too many variables and loose ends that have to be woven together before andy valid conclusions can be considered. I guess we'll just have to place our faith in the writers and hope that they continue to do a fine job of drawing us in until the ending they have chosen comes to light. Let's hope that when it's all over, we all can come away from it satisfied that justice has been done to this exemplary program. smiles, ink

I love Lost, you really have to look at it as a puzzle that is forever changing. Each week they answer a bunch of questions then replace them with a bunch more. It's good for keeping the mind active.

I like the show, but it is growing increasingly confusing. I haven't been watching as much lately because it has grown too far-fetched to keep up with. If it hasn't already, this show is getting very close to jumping the shark.
