I am truly feeling stressed these days, bombarded with problems financially, physically, and emotionally.
One way to de-stress myself is by sleeping, but sometimes it's just a way for me to escape but not really face the problems.
Another good way that I do is by listening to meditation or classic songs. A way to release myself of tensions.
Pilates/Yoga classes is also one of them and of course nothing beats whole body massages.
Hmm.. I think I'm going to get one soon.
How bout you?

Music is good enough for me. I just put my headphones in a put it on shuffle close my eyes turn off the lights if its night time or get under the covers if its morning an just get in the zone.
Or you could watch a stand up comedy show or a comedy movie in general. Something with continued laughs.
Spend time with your friends or your children if you have them. I have no children but I love to sit with my god daughter when I can. She's 8 months old and full of energy.

Hello laydee. When I am stressed out, I listen to music, watch movies online, go shopping in a local mall, go for a bike-ride around the local mountain in the country or just sleep on bed without thinking about anything. This is what I usually do. Or I just search for something to read on the Internet at random...

When I am stressed out,I will do something that I like, just for relaxing. And put the problems aside.I believe that when I get enough rest,my spirit will be very good. Then I have the energy to deal with any difficult problems.I suggest you find some way to relax,or just a good sleep, that helps.

early last month i was so stressed, physically and mentally. i couldn't rest because i have to work. i thought if i'm going to get a leave, im going to feel the same when I'm back to work.
when im stressed, i just let myself go with the flow and take things lightly. life is after all a cycle. i cant change things that are happening in one day or two.
but of course, i do small things in between, go out for an hour and have a coffee, listen to songs, walk where i can find good things and divert my thoughts into..

going for a nice walk for me is a good way to relive some stress. meditation is another great way. a nice hot bath, or just writing things down in my journal is a good way for me to get things off my mind and to release it. i am now getting into working out and that's a great way to get rid of stress and a few extra pounds!! LOL

I practice meditation every day. I am a therapist and teach my clients to do the same. We need to realize that living is a problematic experience and stress if a part of all that. I don't think stress is a problem so much as how we handle it. If we can channel it into physical activity or something like yoga or exercise, it can help us to mature, both mentally and spiritually. - Derek

hmm when it happens to me, I eat a cup of ice cream. I do stuff I want to do and forget about all the miseries for 30 min. Then after that, I do my best to fix each problem one by one starting with the tuff one. My physic teacher once told me that crying over the problem is not going to get me anywhere...it's pretty similar to what you said. Just do what you can and everythign will get better. I also have financial problems with my university fees for the next semester an it's soo difficult to find a job now. Goodluck

Your Physics teacher is right about crying not getting you anywhere, but there are times when you can't do anything about something that crying is a best way to just release your tensions. A good cry could help you destress and just have enough energy to go at the problem once more.
Thanks for dropping by!

In times of stress, I always want to relax my self by being alone. But its not because of escaping the reality, but also to give my mind, my body and my soul to rest from all the troubles i'm facing with.
Then I turn on the tv sometimes watch some movies, eat some snacks. And by the end of the night, go to bed. haha! As simple as that. And hopefully by waking up the nest morning, i've gathered enough strength to face all of my troubles again. Sad isn't it. :(

Hey there! Well when I feel really stressed I either listen to music or do Yoga. It releases the tension in my body and mind. It relaxes me. I would say that it is very effective. Yeah, a whole body massages is as sweet as ever. I haven't tried that one but I can feel and sense it, much more if I can experience it.lol Have a nice day. Happy posting!!

Laydee-
In this world, it's not a surprise that any of us our stressed with both good and bad stressors. (Or positive and negative stressors). Depending upon how much you're sleeping, you may be mildly depressed from your stress, but don't let that make you feel as if you are doing something wrong. It happens to us all. You seem to be on the right track to deal with it though. You are exercising, and meditating. Those two things alone can do wonders for your body.
I have to admit there is nothing like having a full body massage. They leave you invigorated as your Chi is allowed to flow properly. You may even wish to look into accupuncture or even just accupressure. Both can pinpoint the blockages that may be allowing you to perhaps not deal with stress properly in the sense of the body reaction to it.
I know for me, I journal, exercise, clean house, and when needed I do see a counselor. Sometimes it's good to just talk with someone who is a bit more objective, and won't give me a guilt trip or say I'm whining, but help me work through the issues I'm going through.
I also practice martial arts, and that probably is my best stress relief. For starters,I have to be focused in order not to hurt myself or my Sensei. However, I do get to use my stress emotions to help me put my full body weight into punches, etc that I find I'm becoming very intune with the Chi behind them. I'm not sure if I've explained that properly, but that's the gist of it.
