Do you know Tomb-sweeping Day in China?

Tommorrow is Tomb-sweeping Day in China.Do you know it?If you are also a Chinese like me you must know.It lasts 1 month.Tomb-sweeping Day is a day to grieve the person who had passed away.In the villege,we go to the mountain where the passed away person burried.We clear the glass around the place.There are many mushroom under the pine in this season.Children are happy to go to the mountain.The custom lasts many years and is very important.There are 3 days' vocation for the people who go their hometown.

That is so interesting to know about Tomb sweeping day. I think that the American culture lacks in that aspect. My brazilian family goes around November...where we visit the graves/tombs of those that we lost. but I don't think that it is a national btradition. I thin that having a particular time enacted by the culture is so much more beneficial to the culture. How are you celebrating the day?

Hi OceanZealot ,I am glad to meet you here again.I don't go home these days because I am finding my first job now.Sometimes there are some interviews.Plus the traffic conditon in my hometown is not very convenient.I will call home and stay in the school.How are you these days?I wish you are OK.^_^

Thanks for the warm greetings Rita. Sorry to hear that you aren't going to be able to go home for this day. Are you going to be doing something at home to honors those lost?

hi,Rita,I have not gone hometown for Tomb-sweeping Day for many years.What a regretable thing in my life,however,we have no choice and time when you participate in a busy job,in addition,I have my new family to be taken care of in another city.Anyway,I will commemorate my grandparents in my deeply heart that day.

i went out to had a picnic at that day .we took manny things to eat .there are fruit, vegetables,bacons~~we arrived the top of mountain.we faced the sushine.we ate the diliciouse food .we were so happy.

hello Ritasmile,I know Tomb-sweeping Day absolutely,because i'am a Chinese,hehe
like you,i don't go to home either because of the inconvenient traffic,it
could take me about 24 hours to get home by train.Those days I just stayed with my friends/shcoolfellow. hehe
