I like writing on the paper. My friends said that my style of writing is beautiful.I like to write anything on the paper when I am free.Nowadays,we use the Internet to contact with each other.Few people use write a letter to others. We use MSN,mylot,E-mail and so on to communicate. So we don't often use the pen to write than before. So I want to know: Do you often write except to sign? Do you have a good style of writing?

I used to learn Chinese Calligraphy when I was young. The Chinese Calligraphy is really an art, the words can be meek and mild or wild and strong. After a year or two, I gave up, just no patience to continue. A good piece of work took such a long time to complete. I was too impatient to calm down and clear all thoughts to concentrate on writing. Took about half an hour to really calm down and write. The first month we learnt nothing, just to write " - " This happens to be the number one in Chinese and is the basic stroke for nearly all Chinese words. I managed to learn all the basic skills and my writings was good enough to win national competition. Just too bad it didn't suit my character to sit and concentrate. I guess I will take up Chinese Calligraphy again when I am old. All Chinese Calligraphers enjoy great health and live to ripe old age.

Yes, I mean the brush type of Chinese Calligraphy. Not many people have the skill to write really well. There are a lot of information about Singapore International Trade development. If you have access to LexisNexis, you can find a lot of articles on it. Quote a lot of words by Lee Kuan Yew and you will never go wrong. All the best to your thesis.

I used to like to write on paper a lot, but nowadays everything is being taken over by the "computer" and the act of actually "writing" is not something very common anymore. I still write once in a while, but not as often as I do last time because now I'm so busy with my full-time job (in contrast to my student status just years ago) that I don't have much time to think and write. By the way, I can't really comment on my own style of writing because my style of writing may appeal to some but not to others. Besides, claiming that my writing style is good or exceptional might be a bit boastful or even hypocritical. But generally, people find my writing style OK and they can understand what I want to put across. I try to use just simple language and not bombastic language, ensuring that people can engage with my writing and not get confused. But *sigh*, miss those days when I can actually sit down, put on my thinking cap and write a decent piece of writing.....

When I was young, I had a very beautiful handwriting, but now that I am older, it has gotten sloppy, and I don't think anyone would say that anymore, even me. One of the advantages of youth (and old age) is that you have a lot of time. For the rest of us inbetween, we are always hurrying with too many tasks to accomplish to worry about how writing looks. Then came the computer, so we don't even write as much as in the past. This is good for all of the folks with bad handwriting, but not good for those who need practice to maintain a good style. But you cannot stop the future. Now I wonder if people will even need to write in the future. Maybe someday, everyone will get an electronic signature when they are born and that's what they will use the rest of their lives? Keep up your writing!

I certainly think that I have neat handwriting. And people have complimented me on my handwriting, which is nice. I don't think it's the best handwriting there is, but it's definitely neat and nice, in my opinion. I can't complain.
