I didn't have class this morning, so at almost noon, I'm still lazing around in bed with the laptop, catchin up with mylot, e-mail and gather. I'm also watching the food channel, looking for new ideas. I love Paula Dean, Emeril, and Everyday Italian. (Giada is my hero because she and I both LOVE pasta and Garlic) Do you watch the food channel? Who is your favorite chef?

I do watch the food Channel if i ever get time to sit down and watch some TV or while eating i do LOL. I like Rachel Ray i guess its because shes the only one i ever see on that channel, her 30 minute meal ideas are great and awesome and i get great ideas from her. I have also learned how to cut certain things and how to peel certain things. Learning from the food channel is great and i love it. I wish i could have a lazy Friday day. Friday's are the days i want to clean around the house and get the laundry done. So on the weekend i can spend time with the family and go shopping without having to worry if the house is cleaned or not. Just picking up stuff around the house and that's an easy task on the weekend without having do dust and do the floors.

Food Network - The Logo for my favorite network
She is the one that I don't like. I know so many do, that she got her own network talk show, but I can't stand her! I think it has something to do with the way that she abbreviates everything when she talks!I love watching the challenges. I would like to be able to talk to the wives of Bobby Flay and Tyler Florence! Can you imagine being married to someone who looks like that and can cook too?

I don't get to watch it as often as I would like! This morning was the first time I'd gotten to actually sit down and watch for any length of time. Normally, it's on while I'm cooking dinner or cleaning house and I walk by for a few minutes or stop to watch them do a particular dish.

I love to cook, but I do not watch the food channel. Hubby does not do pasta, so I have to sneak it in when he is at work. I took it sort of easy, as this is my day off. I have a cold, and will go see the doctor in about a half hour. I did some work related e mail this morning.

Chicken Soup - A bowl of freshly made chicken noodle soup is just what you need when you're not feeling well.
Aww...I hate that you've been sick! I wish I were close enough and I would make you some of my homemade chicken soup and bring it to you! Hey...was it you that a recipe for homemade cream of chicken soup? I need a good one, rather than buying the canned variety at the supermarket to use as a casserole base.

I watch the food network most days before I go to work in the afternoon, and I really love Paula Dean, Everyday Italian and Rachel Ray, I also really like Big Daddys house and Down Home with the Neelys.

I LOVE Down Home with the Neelys! Especially since they're from Memphis and we live not far from Little Rock. Our food tastes are much the same. They like sweet tea and barbecue! LOL As for Rachel Ray....I turn her off when she comes on whether it's on the Food Network, ABC or Travel Channel. Something about her just grates on my nerves. I especially hate the way she abbreviates things when she talks. That's a huge pet peeve of mine. I guess it's all my years in the elementary school classroom!

I like the food channel and I watch it if I have the time. But I do not have time most of the time (LOL). I work mondays through fridays as a CSR and I have graduate school classes every weekends, if I do not have classes, I normally do the grocery or either go at the mall to catch on what is new and "in".. Sometimes if I do not have classes, and I just feel like staying at home, I like watching every single cooking channel I can watch while flicking through the channels, finding out another recipe interesting to try.

I wish I too, had time to just sit and watch it all the day! I got hooked on Next Iron Chef for awhile last year. I just love watching them throw all that stuff together in an hour, but I can't imagine eating some of what they make! I mean the other night, they were making salmon ice cream for heaven's sakes! UGH
