Man kills 14 plus himself!............................................

Hey Linda! It is so great to see your computer working again! I read this article, but I didn't know he was fired from IBM! So why did he take it out on the immigrants? What did that have to do with his firing and his problem? He obviously was a very sick person, but why did he have to kill innocent people first? Why couldn't he just kill himself? I don't understand anything that is happening here anymore! It just isn't safe to be anywhere at anytime anymore because you just never know what is going to happen! This is a very scary world we live in where you aren't safe anywhere!

It is quite a sad story to hear that things are happening. Killing 14 innocent lives is such terrible thing. I'm hoping that this won't happen again,we should not lose hope when we lose a job.

Well, unfortunately in today's society you never really know what people are thinking. Especially with the Economy being so Bad, and then when they loose a job this only adds to the Frustration as well. Personally it would be nice if there was more ways to prevent things like this from happening, and hope for people when they loose jobs, homes, etc. but unfortunately there is not. So things like this continue to happen, and you often just wonder why. All I can say is I Pray daily for people and the Economy and hope eventually somehow things can start getting better for everyone to help Stop some of these things from happening as well.

That happened in Binghamton only a couple hours from me....Why do some ppl do it? Several various reasons..

It certainly was a sad thing that happened. Is the economic crisis to blame? Is it because of personal worthlessness? Is it just a case of snapping? I think it is hard to get a really good definitive answer as to why people do certain things. It could be a combination of a lot of things that makes people snap, and if losing their jobs is the straw that broke the camel's back, it can result in bad results. Violence never solves anything. Sometimes, these people have so much self pity, that they want to take it out on someone else. Sort of like the "YOU HURT ME, I AM GOING TO HURT YOU". We may never know the motive of this man, as to why he did what he did. Unfortunately, before all is said and done, we will probably hear more stories like this. People are feeling hopeless, and do not know how to handle their personal situations, and their anger and frustrations make them do deplorable things. I have been out of work, since June of last year, I have bill collectors chasing me, and threatening to take me to court, I do without food for days because I do not have any money, but I am thankful to God, that I remain rational and hopeful that my situation will not last forever, and I will soon be on the road to financial recovery. People have to realize that snapping and losing control of their senses are not the way to handle bad situations. My prayers are with all of the families that were affected by this act.

Does anyone know what nationality this ignorant person was from ? Why would he take 14 lives away for something that he had to deal with himself ? People these days, put their frustration on innocent people and then kill himself. I don't understand the point of that.

I agree with you. Because of despair and lack of confidence, that man has to resort like this. The immigrants have nothing to do with his job. On top of this, we are in an state or economic crisis but it doesn't mean it will last forever. It will take a few years to get all this fix..maybe more but as long as we are alive, he shouldn't have think that way.And he does that for what? It won't make him a better person, get him smarter nor take him ahead in life. While many people are striving to live at war, we shouldn't give up on such little things. If only they didn't think just negative, maybe it wouldn't happen.

well the economical crisis cannot be viewed as transient by certain people. Sometimes these are individuals who got themselves in such debt or expenses over their ears and a small change in their financial situation makes them go nuts. I am sorry for the innocent bystanders who got killed for no apparent reason
