Christina Aguilera has a "four octave vocal range," making her a SOPRANO so it means she really has a voice/vocal ability to reckon with. And according to surveys conducted by the music industry Christina Aguilera is as one of the greatest singers/artists of all time. Actually, she topped COVE's list of the 100 Best Pop Vocalists with a score of 50/50 and came fifth in MTV's 22 Greatest Voices in Music.
Also, Rolling Stones ranked Christina at 58 on their list of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time, the youngest singer on the list.
What can you say about this?
I love Christina very much!

She has been able to demonstrate that she is just about talent, creativity, class, style, beauty, power and she keeps on leaving everyone out of breath whenever she is on stage.
She has sung in different languages with good accent indeed (I'M Mexican and she managed to sing in my language very good).
She is a Grammy awarded singer which is not easy at all for a pop star, but wait, she is not a pop star, she's more than that, since she has tried different styles with great results and doing so she has shown that she is one of the most versatile singers ever..
Just to conclude she knows how to close a deal, so that makes her CLEVER and unique among a huge list of brainless wanna be singers...
PLUS... just to answer your question, YES, for sure she is the voice of her generation...

I love her voice - and I love that she finds ways to incorporate both her amazing voice AND a poppy/hip-hop tune into her songs. She's talented, all right!
I really wish that she WAS the voice of our generation, though. I rarely hear her on the radio - and when I do, it's "Keeps Gettin' Better" (not really a song where she show-cases her talent, if you ask me) and a lot of the people ON the radio today (Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Keri Hilsson, etc.) don't have HALF of the amount of talent that Ms. Aguilera does, which is kind of depressing. Her voice is amazing, but I don't think that she's the "voice of our generation" - because she doesn't quite seem as popular as some of these other talent-less singers, which is unfortunate.
But I love her! And I have since like elementary school. lol.

Although I really do not like christina, I think she has a beautiful voice and a four octave range is definitely admirable. I have taken singing lessons most my life and I wish I had that big of a range. I only have about two and a half octaves. She does deserve to be fifth in the 22 greatest voices although I don't like her music.

she has been able to show that she is not only one of the most versatile artists ever but also one of the most gifted..
ever since I listened TO her voice I was quite impressed, and I kept on listening to her, it's been 9 years from then, so I can say that I've grown listening her music and enjoying every different turn she's taken..
Give it up for her 'cause she is one of those legends that will remain for ever...
In Mexico We loved her Spanish album since it is to note that she also has got a very good accent singing in different languages, and it would be appretiated to listen to her singing in our beautiful language once again XD
