only you can answer that question, what interests you? what would you want to do as a career? you need to pick something that you like or have a passion for it and know that you want to do it for a longtime if not for the rest of your life.

Do your research before you do any business. You should learn how to do Internet marketing if you plan on marketing your business online. Get the business-know-how and skills before you open up shop...especially since you already have a limited capital resource.

If you have very little capital, then only you can sell your skill which you earn up to that time in your life. If you have right skill then you can make lots of money from them

The training provided by the insurance company will improve your sales and marketing skills. Many insurance agents are good at drawing close to people, within 5 minutes of talking to stranger, the stranger already feels like knowing the insurance agent for years. Holding the namecard showing that you are an insurance agent also makes it easier for you to cold-call various companies and learn about the kind of businesses in your area. It is a good way to build up network for the business you have in mind. Personally I know that I'm the kind to start a business, just not committed enough to make cold call and talk to people.
