i saw it some sonths ago,and this movie don't touch me at all,i can't see its greatful that the external critics gave to it,somebody who totally understand the film can explain what it would give to us?

for me it is about how oil was found and how it became so important to the people of not just the US but the world.. And how people found out way's to walk in with money gave a little and came out with million's..
Maybe this is only a funny how the BUSH'S (both presindent's of american) found away to make alot of people pay alot of money for gas and oil price's they made so much money when they were in office..
Watch Fatinette 9/11 you will know what i mean...

i definately saw the fatinette 911,but in my opinion, there would be not exactly matched the truth,it absolutely has some strong personal prejudice on this movie,so the point you mentioned that be connected with the bushs would be not the focus point on the film,it may has some other technigue advantage or deep moral on other places that make audience gave it a high judgement.

I loved this movie also. It represents greed, corruption and power. Daniel Day Lewis is a wonderful actor, you might want to check out some of his other movies and see what you think.

OH My I LOVED this movie. I thought Daniel Day Lewis did an amazing job and completely deserved the Oscar. Like the above responder mentioned it is about the start of Oil in the US.
To me it really shows how Greedy humans can be and how clueless others can be. So the strong prey on the weak. The main character Daniel Plainview was so diabolic at getting land with oil that he would stop at nothing. He would lie, cheat and even kill.
WOW I would totally watch it again, I think it was great.

oh, man...its nice...i love this movie especially Daniel Day Lewis...he was very good on this movie!
