I tend to assume the role of both thinker and doer. I believe people who give ideas should be prepared to carry out the ideas or plans. This is one way of taking responsibility of the ideas put forward.
Many times in the past I met people who like to give ideas or suggestions but loathe to carry them out. In the end somebody else had to implement the ideas. When things went well the person who gave the ideas claimed credit without real acknowledgement of the people who had to sweat over them. When things went wrong even though the ideas were carried out to the letter the complete blame was thrown at those who were 'forced' to work hard.
Whenever I had ideas which I knew I would not be able to participate in carrying them out I kept my mouth shut.
all the best,
rosdimy

I would like to be the thinker. But what i think is in a group everybody Everybody contributes as thinker and doer then only the group will go further in its goals. Even if a single person stops any of the action it will affect the whole group. Lastly to do anything you have to think about it isn't it?

Lol I'll first speak in context of IT projects. That's because I'm a prospective IT Engineer and in fact in the last semester; so I have been in project groups.
I'm definitely a thinker in those. May be I'm too lazy to act :P But most of the plans are my brainchilds and I just watch others slogging :D
Otherwise, in other activities, it depends..
