They're going to have to make them legal like Clinton did (according to the article) if they intend to register them. Illegal aliens stay under the radar and I really don't see them agreeing to register with the Census people. Whether it's ACORN or anyone else, if I were an illegal scared of being shipped bach home, I wouldn't trust anyone and wouldn't be giving my name to anyone with a clipboard.

My thoughts exactly, Spall. I know if I were an illegal immigrant the last person I'd be talking to would be a census taker no matter who they were working for. Annie

I have worked the census several times and you have never seen a door slammed faster than one on a house where there are illegals living. We have a lot of them living in the northern part of the county I used to live in. No one from that area ever filled out a census paper. They would be stupid to. They would have been out of there in a minute. Even most of the legal residents of the same ethnic persuasian would not fill out a census. I do not trust your link either by the way. They had no corroborating back up evidence. Shalom~Adoniah

I've always thought the Census was important for matters other than political issues and the Electoral Map. It's important to know how many people live in any given area so the local, state and federal government agencies know what services are needed and to have some kind of heads-up in the even of emergencies or disasters. In my opinion, regardless of what anyone here feels about immigration, illegal or otherwise, or what they think should be done with the ones here or to keep others from coming here, the ones who are here ARE here. They are human beings who have children, who then are U.S. Citizens, and they have bodies that may need to be evacuated or rescued in the even of a disaster if nothing else. It would be nice if we knew everyone's status who is living in this country but it's more important that we know they're here to begin with. Annie
