healthwise scientists suggest that failing to make bed in the morning is a good sign.resarch suggests that though an unmade bed looks scruffy,it is less appealing for housemites too.A Kingston University study discovered the bugs cannot survive in the warm, dry conditions found in an unmade bed.The average bed could be home to up to 1.5 million house dust mites, they are known to cause asthma and other allergies.dont judge me on these,i just got this information in e-mail and passed it on to you.this is the first chore i do in the morning and change my bedsheets every week, and wash the sheets in hot water
is this a good excuse for teenagers???

Hello my friend riyasam Ji,
First thing after leaving my bed in the morning and rushing to bath-room, I make my
bed including folding my Charpoy as well. It is so nice for your appraisel.
May God bless You and have a great time.

Yup, I have read something like this too...but in spite of this info, it seems that I have become immuned with the presence of unseen housemites; thankfully I don't have asthmas and other allergies. I'll remember to vacum my bed regularly so as not to house bugs in my bed. It's called operation elimination of strange bed fellows...he, he, he....

This is definitely some interesting research riyasam. I never knew of these findings before now. I am quite a tidy person myself and like to have the beds made accordingly each day.
I don't like that scruffed up look however there could be bugs or mites as we speak in my sheets. I do like to wash my sheets regularly but I didn't realize that a less appealing bed could make it less appealing to the mites.
I don't know if I will stop making the beds or keeping them tidy. I am just the type of person that has been conditioned to do these things.
I am a housewife so I like things to look nice in case anyone were to see things in my house.
I don't know yet if this will be a good excuse for teenagers. They have to basically be watched upon and should keep up with their chores including the making of the beds.

Wow, finally a good excuse to no make one's bed. I am a bed maker. I was raised that way so I blame my parents. I can not begin my day untill I have made my bed and if I do my entire day will feel off. So, this piece of information will probably not help me to much but it is still interesting.

hahahahahaha I think this is a great excuse, well on the surface anyway. Either way we end of with dusk mite in our beds, these little parasites co exist with humans all the time. They even say that there is bacteria like in the air so tiny we do not see them but they live with us all the time.

Is this a good excuse for teenagers? It's a good excuse for ALL of us if you ask me! You do realize that I've not been making my bed for over 30 years now because of these very reasons yes? I'm so happy to finally have my stance validated like this. lol.

OOO...I don't care what they say. I will continue to use my air filters, vaccuum the floors, change the sheets and make my bed every morning. It has nothing to do with scruffy, it has to do with the fact that I can't stand getting into a wrinkled bed. If there is dirt on the sheets, or they smell sweaty, they are coming OFF.

Now this is encouraging me to jump out of bed and leave my bed in a mess! Something interesting that you share here. But how true is this? I don't actually like to come to a messy bed when I want to sleep at night. I don't like to see a pigsty style that welcomes me when I want to drop off to sleep. I like a neat and well made bed like those in hotel rooms. It is so refreshing and doesn't clutter the mind to see a well arranged bed.

And to think that I just don't make my bed in the morning out of laziness! Now, I have the perfect excuse the next time my husband asks why I didn't make it!
I think we shouuld keep it to ourselves though. If we give teens that excuse, next, they'll be telling us that leaving dirt clothes all over the floor has healthful benefits too!

It'll be a good excuse for my children as well as hubby!!!Whenever I ask them to make bed, they'll straight give me back, saying what's the use, again I'll have to undo at night; let it remain like that.Cheers!

Shhhhh! Don't tell them! LOL Honestly I have house pets so the beds need to be made because they lay on them. I think keeping the pet dander out of the bedding is important too.
I do know about the dust mites. Seems like we have fewer of them now that we have all wood floors. Before we ripped out the carpet, we always had them and it was just impossible to keep up with dust period.
