We in the Caribbean will back the West Indies Team at all cost but it was disgusting the way they gave away the One Day Series just because of money. Over and over we as fan as suffered at the hands of these cricketers because of money. The West Indies Cricket Board has no respect for us and so will do anything they want to do at the detriment of the fans. This series was a winning one for the West Indies Team but they let it past them because of money not because they don't love the game but because they love money. What can us do when you love something so much and see it being hurt time and time again because the ones who have the handle is abusing it. I know that in St. Lucia yesterday fans where distorted to see what happen. I think that it is time Caribbean citizens come together and boycott the games so that these cricketers will know that it is a job they are doing. Cricket was once our joy in the Caribbean and now it is becoming a disgrace not because these youngsters are not talented but because they see money as the first and the game second. Julian Hunte who is the President is not different from the previous ones. I thought he would be but yet again there goes another disappointment. I wish that these guys will see that hurting the fans are not the way to go. I love my team but they need to start loving us back. Cricket Lovely Cricket

I have been a great admirer of West Indies cricket team from my childhood days. In my childhood days I used to envy West Indies team as it was beating India as if India was a minnow. They were superb in bowling and batting. I have seen the bowling of Courtney Walsh and Curtley Ambrose. They were ferrocious bowlers and can wreck havoc in any batting line-up. The batsmen were also stalwarts. I do admire the likes of Chris Gayle, Shivnaraine Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan for their gutsy performance all over the world. My favorite batsman is also a West Indian, the great B C Lara. But, as time has passed by, the quality of players in their team has reduced significantly. With the test series win at home against England I had thought West Indies team is on the path of recovery of lost glory. It does not seem like that now, with the team and the board in such constant controversies it is very difficult to see their improvement in recent future. I hope they soon recover from this and return to full form.

hi dev, yes back in the days West Indies team was beating teams left right and center. Those were the glory days but now with what it happening I have to be in total agreement with you. I just hope that the board can see that they are messing up the team and so negotiate in a better and tangible way. I praying and hoping that they will because I have seen glimpse of what these guys can do when they are happy and if they are we in the Caribbean will be also. Thanks alot for your response.

very often west indies cricket gets into some or the other kind of problems. whenever they try to rise out of a slump in their cricket some factors bei t cricketing and non cricketing manage to pull them down. they played very well in the test series but couldnt hold on in the one day series. maybe it was the distractions of the money issue but those issues were from the start of the series and west indies did win the second and third matches comfortably so it would be wrong to say the money issue was the sole issue for the losses. and not to forget how the first match ended. it was unfortunate that west indies lost due to a miscalculation or they would have won the series in the first three games itself.

I agree that they would have win the series if it was that miscalculation but even this last match they could have with in as well. They send out a warning that they would boycott this match but seen that they would be sanctioned by the ICC they went out there and give away their cricket. It was disgusting the way they play. This series was a win for them and they throw it away.
