What Do You Think About Living In The Hear And Now?

"Start living now. Stop saving the good china for that special occasion. Stop withholding your love until that special person materializes. Every day you are alive is a special occasion. Every minute, every breath, is a gift from God." Mary Manin Morrissey I really like this quote because I do believe since we don't know if we are going to be around in the next minute that it is important to let people know that you love them because you don't know if you will have the chance when you are ready to say it. Let me know what you think of this quote?

I think it's very good advice.....live for the moment because in just a flash it could be all gone....make sure the ones you love know it....make sure you treat yourself right everyday....and use that good perfume and towels....

I think this quote is spot on....you never know whats around the corner, love your family everyday, and try your best to be a good person and do right by others. Treat people as you would like to be treated yourself

I think that I take it too literally and can't seem to live in that manner. If I keep on doing what I want to do RIGHT NOW, at this very moment then what would happen to my future? What I really want to do right now and is to drop everything and to go and travel! That would also mean not bothering to ask permission from parents and just going for a while and coming back. If I did that, even though it made me feel fulfilled, that would mean I would have to leave behind a very good job and I would taint my parent's trust in me. Am I missing something? Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Ahh...This quote reminds me of ronan keating's 'If Tomorrow Never Comes'. Yea, i think people should live a little, stop being so focused on surviving instead focus on actually living. Tell that loved one that you love him/her, it doesn't have to be in words all the time, it's through small or big acts that they'll know for sure that your feelings were true. If you have someone in mind to pursue, go for it, so that you won't have any regrets until the day you die, which could be anytime, any day.

This is so very True. Many people could learn a thing or two from this one, especially if they chose to live by and follow it for sure. I know that when you choose to not worry about tomorrow, and nor worry about your past, and just take life each day as it comes you will often be a lot better off in the end as well.

yes I agree with it all as well, my favourite saying is "tomorrow may never Come', I only learnt this over the past few years after losing so many people from my life, live and appreciate every day none of us knows how many we will have...

it is an excellent quote and gilda radner said it best when she was dying of cancer, if she had known she would have used the good china, she would have lived in her house and let it get dirty and be happy instead of keeping super clean and more like a museum than a home, she would have wore the fancy pegnoirs instead of storing them in the closet she would live, loved and been more happy.

I think it is very important. I think you should save for a rainy day to of course, but I think you should also live life to its best when ever possible. I think it is very important to go on a vacation every year because that is what life is all about. I feel sorry for people who don't take some time to enjoy life a little. We never know when a day will be our last. I don't want to die knowing my life was not lived till its fullest. That doesn't mean you live iresponsibly and by the seat of your pants, but if you live responsibly you should be able to afford to go on a vacation or have some fun on the weekends.

You are absolutely right. Every moment is part of life. Occasion nuilt only from moments. So we have to enjoy each and every moment of our life. Concentrate on joy of every moment
