Ever Gone Shopping and Found Nothing at Every Store?

Today we were at REI (outdoor person store) because my brother was going to climb the rock wall. But it was a one person at a time thing so it was going to take quite awhile to get to climb it. We looked at hiking boots for dad and he didn't find anything good. And then I wanted to look at those Five Fingers shoes and they only had the socks for them, not the shoes. So that was annoying. And then we went shopping for some computer parts and those weren't available. Next we went out looking for telephones and couldn't find one either. Ever had a day like that? I still want to find those shoes too, those look awesome!

I looked at those shoes - did you post about them? They look very interesting, but how would my orthotics work in them?

Yes, I made a separate post about them as well. I don't think orthodics would work in them? From what I hear they are designed to have no support and no room for added support. The idea is that you are nearly barefoot and your muscles must give the support. Yet somehow they supposedly help fallen arches. I'll definitely let everyone know if I get some and my feet feel better.

they might be the answer to my toe problem, but not to my other problems - and my feet are a whole bundle of problems!

It says on the questions and answer section of their website that people with orthotics can usually still wear these, but they cannot be worn with the orthotics in. So I don't know how that works. I did finally get some though but I've only worn them one day for awhile so far since right after getting them I got sick. I plan to wear them all day on Friday though for casual Friday at work!

yeah, but it hardly ever happens because the big shopping centre near me, which i always mostly go to always get new stock in almost straight away, so no worries there. But i do remember when theres been one or two times where theres been hardly anything interesting to buy and it was too boring, so we just decided to go home.

Its sooo annoying though isn't it, like if you are looking for a specific item and you cannot find it NOWHERE, it makes me all moody and fed up lol. But like i said it hardly ever happens so it isn't too bad lol.

You are lucky to have a large shopping center that has a lot of stuff you want available. We have mostly small shopping centers around here now. There used to be more malls but now a lot of the stores have gone out of business.

Usually the only time I can't find anything that I like or want to buy is when I have extra cash. When I don't have money I see tons of stuff I want. Then when I do get some extra cash I won't spend it on what I wanted because I'm way too cheap these days lol. I cut up the one credit card I did have, I managed to get one for $500.00 and maxed it out; learned my lesson and now stick with prepaid cards or a bank debit card (which is equally dangerous)

Oh I know how that is! I don't usually have extra cash, but sometimes I will from writing a bunch of articles or something. And then I'll finally buy some stuff, but later I will want a bunch of other things and then that money is gone. I too have to keep very low budget credit cards only or I would get into trouble!

Oh I hate that! When I am shopping for clothes it seemed like when I was skinny I could never find the size I wanted. I swore they made all the clothes for "fat" people. And then I gained a bunch of weight and now I swear it is the opposite, lol. I just can't win!

most of the time this happens to me. I'm always having a hard time selecting an item. i consider the color, design, prints on it, and the price of course. my sister knows this because often we go shopping, she carries a lot but i'm going out with nothing. hahahaha.. that's why i don't like shopping that much..

Yeah, I don't generally like shopping. Except I do like online shopping, I just don't feel like this is something that I can buy online (the shoes at least). My friends usually buy way more than me. I'm not too picky on cheap clothes... if they fit and I like the color I'll get them. But on expensive shoes I want to actually be able to try them on.

I hardly ever go out looking for something specific I just go out to see if there is anything. But when I do go to get something I look on the website first. And if it's from Argos I reserve it first. So I don't have this problem much.

Oh that is a bad strategy for me! I would spend way too much money. I looked on the website first when I went to go get the shoes. I'm finding out that frequently those websites that claim to tell you what's in stock are really not updated frequently. Or in this case, the item is never in stock they just order it for you. Which to me doesn't count as having it, because I can order it myself from the computer.

YEAH! Sometimes I even spend the whole the day just to find what I like but in the end...hehe...I still go home empty handed. Happy MyLotting!

Yeah, I wasted a few hours and felt bad! But I guess it's better than just going on a random buying spree and then crying about it when I get the bill.
