What are the top social networking sites?

I have been using some social networking sites and i can give my vote to orkut site which really works and we can meet the people and communicate with them through that site so we can so many things from that site and i have a group of friends which i can communicate with them daily and it is wonderful site so do have any other sites which are good to meet people.

some sites are like jagoore.com & some are state.org for voting, you will knowing the status of parties over there..........

one of my friend said Jagoore site is good but i haven't went through it so when ever i have free time i will to those sites.
