I'm not sure if I'm spelling it right but just know that it isn't pronounced like Ali in Muhammed Ali's name. Well I know this woman who is taking them to lose weight. And yesterday my sister and I were in McDonald's and we saw her. She was rushing to the bathroom because she had to use it real bad because she had eaten some Mickey D's food. Now these pills make you use the bathroom and the pills squeezes every bit of grease out of the food so your stool is really greasy.
This question is for those who are taking the pills? Is is worth having a greasy butt. I mean, do you find satisfaction with the product. I just imagine have an oily behind and it makes me say eeew!
But whatever works right? Take care and God Bless!

My mom was taking the Alli pills until she started seeing a lot of the side effects. Like the constant having to go to the bathroom, and it also has a warning that if you don't drink enough water when you take the pills it can cause your throat to close up, and you can suffocate and die. After my mom experienced chest pain when taking the pills she stopped. Thankfully nothing seriously happened, and she stopped taking them before it did. I personally wouldn't use them, just because of all the side effects that they have.

I haven't ever used them before, but it is something I've thought about. I'm glad you started this conversation, because I'm really curious to see what other people say about it! I've heard some mixed things about it, so that's why I never ended up trying it out. I heard you really can't eat anything fatty at all or else it'll really come back to haunt you. I also heard you can get some greasy leakage during the day. Yikes! Anyway, I'm interested to see what other people have to say about their experiences!

dear linda
i think one must weigh their pros and cons adequately before going for such pills.these pills can come with real bad side effects.if one has to rush to bathroom after using it then there are chances that it contains some diuretic which helps the body get rid of fluid in the body thus causing some weight-but its abuse cud b detrimental in long run.one needs to check the ingredients before blindly taking such supplements.but i must really appreciate the efforts of my gurl who lost a substantial amount without resorting to pills.she just cut down on simple carbs, sweets, greasy junk food and she daily does Yoga,Pranayama and light weight training.

I have always really wondered about these pills! They sound like a miracle pill (as if there is any such thing, ha!) but their side effects are HORRIBLE! I've done some research on this because at one time I considered trying them. People that reviewed it were talking about how they always have to have an extra pair of underwear with them and that when they go to the bathroom they can see all the fat come out. I mean EWW. Who wants to live their life like that? I don't know, maybe it's worth it. I'm actually anxious to see the responses you get. I'm hoping someone out there is taking these pills and can explain more.

There is a better way to lose weight rather than using those pills. By exercise and avoiding fatty foods, getting slim is safer...

I would have to agree with you as far as what ever works. I have thought about taking them but have heard a lot about them that is negative. The best way to lose weight is to change eating habit and exercise. I do realize that there are some people it is hard to lose weight this way. What I always remind myself is that it was fast to put the weight on but it is a very slow process to take the weight off.

I took them once for about a week, and I had heard from other people about having gas and going to the bathroom a lot, but I did not experience any of that. I really didn't notice much of a change in my body at all. I think it is just me though, because most things I have read and the people I have heard from confirm what you said. But I think as long as you eat fairly healthy you shouldn't have that kind of reaction. I was not really eating badly that week, so that is probably why I did not have nay symptoms like that.

I'm not taking any pills, or even dieting, but I am losing weight. I've been rather amazed by my progress really. In three months I've lost 34 lbs just by drinking water. Yup, just increasing my water and yes also skipping a few snacks now and then and I'm losing. But I eat whatever I want, even ice cream. And yet still losing weight. I must admit I'm thrilled. I wish more people would stop using diet pills (trust me I've tried them all in the past) and would just eat healthier and drink more water.

I have never taken weight loss pills and dont think I ever would. We are all different shapes and sizes, love us or not. Who knows what side effects these pills could have on someone. There are enough pills out there for stuff we have to take that make us ill as well, I dont need to add diet pills to the mix as well. Good old fashioned eating right and plenty of exercise is whats best, and if we still dont lose weight, then we were meant to be that way!

I took Alli for a time to give it a try as it was the first one the FDA approved. It's nothing more than a plecebo effect. All you're doing is cutting back on fat portions, which you should do anyway, and when you eat too much you end up with loose stools because of the ingredient in the pills.
You're better off simply having a proper diet, exercising, and getting enough rest. I definately do not recommend that product for anyone. It's just not worth it. Save your money for gym equipment or the like.
