Doing The Pee Pee Dance...

Pee Pee Dance... - Pee Pee Dance...

We’ve all ran into those moments when we’ve GOT TO GO to the bathroom and someone else is in there parked. We tap on the door, let them know it’s urgent and then try to do something to take our minds off the problem. I’ve been known to walk around, jiggle my foot, rock back and forth and, most famously, the Pee Pee Dance. The Pee Pee Dance is basically where you cross your legs, clench your thighs (and any other muscles in that general area, and wiggle around while trying not to wet yourself. For some reason trying to stay upright keeps you from hearing your screaming bladder that is threatening to explode. My Mom taught us the Pee Pee Dance when we were kids. We’d stand outside the bathroom door dancing and yelling HURRY UP to whoever was in the bathroom. The door would open and we’d shove past them (while they laughed), drop to potty and instant blessed relief. At that point I didn’t care if the entire town was standing there watching…all that mattered was relief. Have you ever done the Pee Pee Dance? Who taught it to you? What do you do when waiting to get in the bathroom? **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

One time I had to go to the bathroom so bad that I couldn't wait any longer so I went outside, it was dark out so no one could see me, and went behind my dad's shed and peed!! It's better to do that than to have to wear it!! I never told anybody that but hey, one has to do what they have to do!! I DID!! lol

I've actually become so desperate that I've used a bucket...it was either that or pee on the floor. When I gotta go, I gotta go! ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I have to go when I have to go too, so yes definately have done the pee pee dance. Just try not to wait so long anymore. I have had a times though when we would have to pull over on the side of the road. Once we were out in the nowhere and I decided to swat between the van doors and go . About the time I got ready the wind blew the back door shut and I looked up and here came a sheriff, luckily I dont think he saw me as I got up really quick!! I have laughed and luaghed thinking I could see me going to jail for mooning the sheriff!

Hey twoey! I think that we all know about the Pee Pee Dance! I have done it many times in my life and still do it to this very day! I have a small bladder and when I have to go I have to go! I have trouble holding it in any longer then I have to! And crossing the legs doesn't really help after awhile when you really have to go! So I just pray, try not to breathe and wait as patiently as I can to get to that potty before it's way too late!

Yes, we do all know about the Pee Pee dance. My bladder is very tiny as well. I'm sorry to hear that crossing your legs doesnt work for you after a while and you have done the pee pee dance many times. I find myself doing it many times at bars, and concerts.

I had never thought of this since I am now grown, and we now have no kids, but it is True when you have to wait for someone to get out of the bathroom that this can happen. Very seldom have I had to do it myself, but it does happen. Especially during the middle of the night if my husband is in the bathroom too.

yep I did the pee pee dance and everyone else I know, I don't think anyone taught me or us, it just came naturally, to try and hold it in. Now I can't hold my urine, I will pee on the floor outside where ever, the plumbing just does not work like it used to.

I don't think anyone need to be taught that dance. It comes naturally. Fortunately for me as a kid,we always had more than one bathroom so I didn't have to wait to often. Now of course public places often had lines. I love the trying to stay upright part. Why can't we stand when we need to pee? I wonder if guys have the same problem with standing? You left out the song that goes with the dance. I gotta go pee, I gotta go pee, I gotta go pee pee pee pee pee. This song is repeated again and again until you get in the bathroom.

I would think that all of us at one time or another has done this dance. Although I found that sitting down helped me some. We learned that to tell someone would just actually make them take longer unless it was one of the parents. Then they would hurry but the other sibling took much joy in trying to see how long you could go without peeing on yourself.

I believe that the pee pee dance is something that is embedded in our memories and was probably started way back when our ancestors had to waddle outside to do their duty. Why is it that females do this dance more than men?

Females are foreced to do the pee pee dance more than males because females have much longer lines than men. Especially, at public events when there are many people drinking there are not enough places to pee for the ladies. Which means that women are stuck dancing the pee pee dance for sometimes up to an hour in line! But, it can be seen as cardio! Keep on pee pee dancing!

LOL I never had the chance to do the dance. haha I am one of those over-active bladder people, and now means N O W !!! I've been known to go into the kitchen and find a disposable cup to pee in, if the person desn't get out of the bathroom in time, then dump the cup down the drain and toss it in the waste basket, and just get on with my life.

LOL Oh the Pee Pee Dance I used to be an expert at that but thankfully cannot remember the last time I danced it! I think it may have been when I was expecting Niamh (7) - when getting scans was the worst - making you fill a bladder when there is a weight pressing on it and then keeping you late for an appointment is not a good idea! My Niamh has to have a full ultrasound ( no she isn't pregnant she has bad problems and keeps getting UTI's) so I hope that they don't keep her waiting - it has been a while since she has done that dance and she does NOT have much patience! xxx

Well, I live alone, so am very lucky in that regard. But I do have a bucket I can use if I don't think I'd make it up the stairs in time.

yeah bucket are good substitute to the cr. cause we need to have it in our bedside when the comfort room is far from the room. cause it will be ridiculous to keep going up and down the stairs just to pee. specially at night when you feel so sleepy and you don't want to be bothered to get out of the bed and walk out of the room when we usually feel droggy upon waking up. and we feel so lazy to get far from our bed. and having a bucket just beside our bed saves us time and energy. but i hate though having bucket. specially my bathroom is just next to my room. so it will just be a short trip going there to make a pee. and also i detest the site of pee and usually i don't like any pee staying in my room.

i think i learned it naturally waiting for my dad to get out of the bathroom. however,if you saw him going in with a newspaper..the yard became an option you didn't want to go in directly after him,no matter how bad your kidneys were floating.

I can do it but no-one taught me. It was absolutely something that came naturally. It looks so natural too when I'm just outside my door doing it as I try to get the key in... just finished my shift at work and of course when I was there didn't need to go but as soon as I set foot outside my door aarrrgh! Ilive alone so there's no-one else that needs the bathroom but... when you come in from work you have your bag, your coat and layers of clothes so it's one dance from the hall while you're stripping! I've had so many 'near misses' too but so far so good. Has no-one ever invented an umbrella for those type of floods?

i do that dance too. now i know what it is called. anyways, that is what i hate to happen to me. that is why i don't want to drink a lot when i know that there will be many people going to the cr. i mean in the morning when the cr is more busy than any time of day. so i guess i have to let them finish using the cr before i eat my breakfast and drink a lot of water. and so after that i can use the cr as often as i wanted. anyways, i also hate it when in public transportation to feel this urge to pee right in the middle of the road. and so i have to control my bladder too.

Ha, ha, ha, It is so funny that you would mention the "Pee pee Dance." I am living with my great-nephew who is being potty trained. He just turned three years old and is having a hard time of it. For him, the pee pee dance comes naturally. In fact, this is the only way that we know that he hast to go because he will not tell anyone. His papa gives him a hard time about getting urine on the floor, so a lot of times, he is afraid to go to usse the restroom.

I think any of the combination's of what you've said (walk around, jiggle your foot, rock back and forth) are the pee pee dance for me. Ofcourse I've clenched my thighs and put my hands inbetween them, just waiting for the instant relief that peeing after waiting gives. Then again i've done this and then thought "why do I wait?" Why is it that when you wait to go pee until later (aka holding it) when you've really gotta go someone's in the toilet already?

Hi twoey68, There are only two of us in the ouse so I always use the bathroom before the hubby so I am ok, but if I am out and want to go, I am able to hold it before I find a bathroom. Tamara

I do not think I do the dance anymore, maybe when I was a kid. today I try not to let it show. I might do something like shift my wight while standing or something like that. but you might see the stress in my face becase of the pressure.
