Is is possible to use mobile phones in the flight and ships?

Flights are difficult... you can't normally get a network whilst in flight but ships are a different matter. Each ship carries a ship-to-shore communication system and if you ask the captain or a member of the crew, they will arrange for you to use the system. They have to carry these for emergency purposes. As for the flights, I know the pilot has a two way talkie system with flight control, but I think if you try to use your mobile phone at certain times, you can interfere with this system, so it's advisable not to if you wish to enjoy a safe flight. If you change your mode as the flying mode, I think it is acceptable. I love China

For me is bad idea if us want to use a mobile phone in the flight or in the ships , because it is very dangerous, a lot of device it the ships and airplane is interfere with mobile phone signal, even tough some the ship in my country allowed us to use mobile phone. But is wise if we do not use it.

I dont think it is impossible to have coverage in planes or ships... the way technology is advancing it is very much [possible and it was in papers that when 9/11 happened and a lady was talking to her daughter on phone when her plane dashed in to the twin towers. so it is possible and probably available too but every time i went inside a plane they forced me to switch off the phone

no i have never used a mobile in flight and ship, but satellite fone works....;)
