I work at a big city, and the price of house renting is hign.
So, many people live in the suburb and work in the city proper, they spend many time in road from home to company every day. The average time spending in road is around 70 minutes in this city.
When I work at my last compay, I always spend 70--80 minutes everyday , I must take bus, and transfer to subway, then take bus again.
Now, I find a job is nearby my home, I just take 15 minutes by bicycle.
What about you? How long do you always spend to go to company from home? Which traffic tool is your choice?

Hi freerr, i stay at hostel provided by company. It just take about 5-10 minutes walk from hostel to company. Normally i will back to home during weekend. It take 1 and half hours from home to company. I think that was lucky that have a hostel provided by company.

i stayed in a hosted which is provided by company. every day i only need to spend only 3-5 minutes to offices on foot. but my home is far away form my company, i always goes to my home nearly once a year, it should need to by bus for half an half an hours, by train for nineteen hours, and then by bus for two hours,it should be on traffic one day. it will waste plenty of time and money.

70 minutes is quite a long time to travel from home to work... i remember years ago when i had to travel around 50 minutes... and that was quite hard... i am just glad that now, my work office is is very near where i live... so when it is not too hot outside... i just walk for 15 minutes... but when it is... i just ride the tricycle and that will one take me 3 minutes...

It takes me 20-30 minutes to go to the office from home. But right now, I'm planning to move out where I am living right now, cause it's getting to expensive there. So probably it's gonna take me an hour to arrive in the office.

i drive to office, and it spends me 15 minutes if there no traffic.
I am worried about it, for the high fee on oil,you know, i live in a small city,in fact, i have no necessary to drive, and i would rather go by bicycle, which would be more heathy to my body, but mine was stolen monthes ago,and i dont want to buy one more coz there are so money thieves who might stole my bicycle again.

i am lucky to work and live in a medium city compared with the one who has to spend over 1 hour going to company where there is no heavy traffic and my home is quite near the firm. everyday i can't get up until half past seven and go to work on feet just taking about 10 minutes.

i work in the city centre and my house is probably half and hours drive away from where i work. but the traffic is really horrible during peak hours and it takes me an average of an hour to get to work. i drive to work and will usually get stuck in a jam but thank goodness there's music!!

I live about 15km from office; the drive is usually 10-15 minutes on a weekend. However on working days, if I were to leave the house after 7am, it could take up to one to one and a half hours to reach the office. That's why I have to get up so early, just to get out before the traffic builds up. And there's no convenient public transport too - it will take 2 bus exchanges and maybe 2hours or more (which is even worse)!

I drive to work because the buses do not run early morning or late evening and I work shifts - so I would only be able to get a bus in one direction each time. Depending on the time of day or which day it is, it takes anywhere between 20 and 45minutes to drive there but, on the late shift, I have to allow at least another 20minutes to try to find a parking space. We have a large car park for staff only but it is usually full at lunchtime and we are fined if we park in the visitors spaces. It is very frustrating to pay for a parking permit and then spend ages trying to park before doing an 8 hour shift.

i spend only 5 to 10 minutes from my work walking distance
i choose this nearly from my work than to find rent house which is far or
i ride to go in my work. i hate traffic, i hate also smoke
and so many waste of time if you're house in far from your work.
when i stay from my tita i spend 4 rides back inport. which consumed almost 1 and half hour. then i wake up early 2 hours between. it's disqusting.

I usually spend 20 minutes to get to work, and i use the subway. I still have to walk a little after that but i can say im pretty lucky to have a job that doenst require much time or expense to get there.
