In this modern settings, who would brood over the mere thought of transforming our precious world into a better place to carry on our existence? Greed, conflicts, craze for money and power, avarice, enmity ...all these have acted malignant to the smooth functioning of societies the world over.Shouldn't there be a solution to this pressing problem?

there is only one solution to these and that is "You". everything starts from ourselves. if you can do what others don't and be a good citizen to yourself then there is hope because your energy will have an influence on the people around you especially your family then they will in turn influence their friends and their friend's friends and families creating a domino effect of doing something right. imagine if you we all start form ourselves to do the right thing then things will get a little better. but remember . there is no such thing as utopia. we all need the the bad things to maintain the balance or else we won't know which one is good or bad anymore if that happens. we can see the answer in our mirrors.

I think it's very difficult for a person to make himself/herself actually believe that he/she (we) are responsible to making this world better. Everyday living is so stressful and it fills up most of our time and takes all of our attention that we rarely have the chance to stop and just think of the future - not just OUR own future but of THE future. Life is currently hard enough to keep ourselves afloat, people don't want to be bothered by even larger problems especially when we know it would make simple choices more difficult - biodegradable/eco-friendly garbage bags are so much more expensive that reusing non-biodegradable plastic bags from the stores.
Still, it's no excuse.
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Hi sukumar,I agree that there should be a solution but the very things you mentioned is preventing it. Most things are about power and control and people in charge refuse to let go. As one gets older he/she begins to realize how ridiculous it really is because times goes so fast and we can't take money or power with us when we leave here. Personally I don't think society can continue this way for much longer, unless something changes we will destroy ourselves with greed. Blessings.

Hello my friend sukumar794 Ji,
WE should get rid off 'ego' and enjoy, when others are happy. Always look down, never
race with othres. Self satisfaction would solve all the problem.
May God bless you and have a great time.

Forget all about greed, conflicts and the rest that make human being arrogant. What would you think if everyone were a little more humble. I am sure it will be a nice place if we were more willing to admit that we don't know everything, that we have weaknesses, and that we make mistakes. How wonderful if we treat each other with respect and dignity. A little more humility would make the world a much nicer place.

The best answer would be for men to recognize and submit to the Will of God. Sadly, I think we have and are moving farther from such a remedy.

Years ago I asked my sister what she would like for Christmas and she replied peace for the world. I thought at that time it would be impossible to obtain. Since then I have traveled to countries that in the past have had war. I have visited Israel and it continues to be a place that often suffers conflict.
I would like to make all people in the world be peaceful and respectful of all different religions. I would like to see all the poor people in the world get enough food to eat and fresh water to drink. I would like all wars to stop. I would like abortion to end in every country in the world. I would like to see all animals be cared for nicely.

The solution is the conquest of greed. Greed has caused most of our problems but it is a cornerstone of humanity. If we could cleanse ourselves of greed most of our problems would be solved and we would even have good governments that help the people instead of robbing them.

All of the things you have listed are all really the result of greed. Current societies are formed with those who have (and want more and to keep it all), and those who don't have enough to survive (and surely they want to). These feelings lead to all of the other problems. How do you solve this? How do you teach love of all fellow humans, and the sharing and charity that go along with it? As long as there are prejudices against race, gender, economic status and religion we cannot truly eradicate greed. Only we, as individuals, can make small steps towards that, and hope that the feeling spreads. Wouldn't the world be wonderful if that could ever happen?

This is a very important question in todays world. Terrorism has already taken a control over 50% of the world and rest left is being taken by the resent ression. No job for the next generation. hence no fooding,no clothing,no shelter. We are leaving in a very critical situation. God knows what our next generation is going to suffer. We have to make our world a place where we can live our life peacefully and happily.

Unfortunately, I believe the planet has already decided. Humanity is one of the biggest leeches on the planet and I believe Earth might intend on its elimination. There are many signs showing steps in that direction (and I am not taking about some sort of religious incident that is forthcoming).
