That's one way to quit

My daughter went to the smoke shop this morning. She called me before she bought mine. Less than 3 months ago I was buying the little cigars I smoke for $7.95 a carton. That's 10 packs of 20 just like cigarettes. This morning the same ones were $28 a carton. I told her to come on home and forget it. There is no way I can afford that much for smokes. Even if I could afford it I refuse to pay that much taxes on them. I have 4 packs left and when they are gone I won't buy any more. I also had he to check the Price on the Prince Albert, (roll your own). A 14 ounce can was $47. 2 ounces shy of a pound of it for $47. I will have some planted and growing as soon as it get warm enough. I want to see the idiots tax it. There are other ways you know. They have made me mad now so I'll just beat them at their own game. Hello arkie. that is indeed a nice way of quitting. buying unaffordable things in this economic crisis time is not reasonable. quitting is the best way to save money. it;s like hitting two birds with one stone good luck

It was on the yahoo news a couple of days ago. Some minor article. And of course we here have discussed it a couple of times. It did come in a tad bit under the radar. Just shows how vigilant we all have to be. It's a federal tax increase, and here also a state tax increase on top of that. I don't smoke, lucky me. They just figure that those who do smoke will pay whatever. I'm glad that it will entice you to stop;)

Well for me, seeing the price and hearing about the price they are charging anymore for people to smoke, it makes a wonder how anyone can afford to do it anymore, and I am sure many people are finding more ways to quit now more than ever. Thankfully I have not smoked in yrs. nor have the desire to want to smoke as well. I just cannot believe that they are charging this much now and getting it.

There is no way I could afford that much. Either I start growing my own or I quit smoking. That is the only choices I have. Art
