Well, we went for a hike. We ended up having to do some rock climbing as well. It was worth it because when we got to the top of Sugarloaf Mtn. (near Heber Springs, AR) you could see forever. We could see a river, lots of trees, some homes, and another nearby mountain. It was beautiful. We had brought a picnic lunch and when my future (now current) husband put out the food, there was a little box by my plate. I opened it and of course it was an engagement ring. I said yes and the rest is history. I always tell people that his plan was to ask me and if I said no he was going to throw me over the side. He wouldn't, but it is funny.
My son had a unique way of proposing. His wife is a Harry Potter fan. He got one of the books and cut a hole in the inner pages big enough for the ring box to fit into. On the first page he whited out every letter except for the ones that spelled out WILL YOU MARRY ME? How is that for romantic?
