With the cellular phone or mobile phone, I no longer use the base phone / home phone. Economically, cellphone cheap, easy and practical. How do you think?

For less then 50$ per month I can call anywhere in the world and talk as long as I like, I do not mind having a house phone. I constantly lose, or break cell phones they are more costly. Besides, I have never found nearly that good of a deal, I make many phone calls internationally and I would need some super service for my cell phone to be worth more then my Voip.

Hi CJscott, In my place, $ 50 per month cost is big enough for an individual phone.

I don't understand the eye rolling there. If I talked as much on the phone, with the company I used to use the bill would be over 150$ per month easy!

Hi Janiceines, nice to meet you. That's good consideration. As long as you are willing to pay the rent.

with the mobile phone can receive a phone call from a friend or relative anywhere. while the home phone, we can only receive phone calls and if we are at home. we have with our mobile phone will not be behind the news from a friend or relative, because we can receive information directly from their mobile phone. if we rely on the home phone, this would not have been possible. sure we will receive information too late.

i have got both of them. but i dont think the base phone has gone out of use. here in india, you do not always have a very good network to support your cellphone. moreover not all the places come under the network coverage of the network providers. so it still comes in handy in a lot of occasions. and of course we can get connected to the web world through our base phone. though its true that cellphone are slowly taking ground and may throw the base phone out of market in coming days. mobile phone gives us so many facilities like gaming, songs, camera, messages and no doubt scores highly over the base phone, but still then i would not want to discard my home phone.
