My computer was infected by a virus called apyware 2009 or something like that, I have norton anti virus program , i paid a lot of money for this. Anyways the problem is Norton found the virus but was unable to clean it, I tried different ways , like cleaning manually with following the instructions on Norton's site , downloaded some other anti-spy ware programs etc... But the virus was still there the thing virus is doing is was poping up non stop and asking me to allow to scan my computer for viruses, i of course canceled it but still from time to time it pops up.
Finally i logged in to Norton's site and asked a live help, and they suggest me 2 ways,
One was Do my self ,following the instructions online and fix it, other was letting Norton technicians to search my computer and fix it, And it would have cost me $100 , !!! Can you believe its true, i am already paying for norton tones of money to protect my computer but they still ask additional money to fix it.
I am so mad, I guess i will change my anti virus program!!!
Well i have to share this with you guys!!!
I am so mad at them!!!

I don't trust Norton. For some reasons, it is all for the money. I prefer AVG or ESET. They have a good antivirus system and really works fine.

I used to have this virus, and what you need to do is turn off your computer, and take out all of the cables connecting it to the internet. This thing is bad, bad, bad news. I tried everything when I had it, I had two antivirus programs running at once that couldn't get rid of it, and I came close to losing years of work. Just take your computer to geek squad or somewhere, because you can't fix it.
Best of luck,

Although norton is quite a good product ...If you did use norton antivirus 2009 then its not enough for security ,internet security suite should do that.or else migrate to kaspersky or avg etc...but internet security suites are best.As per paying $100 for calling norton technicians is something I'll never do.Instead do new windows installation then also rest of files in other drives will be intact.Next time use a rescue disk or back up ur system. That should do the trick.
