I always have the habit of sitting with my legs crossed.
But I was told by many people (My friends and family member) not to sit so. Since this was a habit of mine for past 15 years, I find it difficult to change.
More over, I tried to do some googling on this topic and got various answers for this.
Some say, it shows lack of confidence
Some say, it as not a good manerism,
Some say, it as being very professional.
I'm confused.
Could you throw some light on this?

I think that crossing your legs has to do a lot with the circumstances. In some places it may be just fine, in others, it could be a little awkward and out of place! I'd say to evaluate where you are and what the setting is, and determine how to carry yourself based on that!
