My mum and even my friends always advised me, not to eat pineapple whenever lm pregnant. Actually, it was an old wives tales that had been brought down to the new generation. They said it can harm the fetus since it's acidity is quite high and the pineapple flesh is quite sharpy and rough. Ever heard about it? Can share your experience about this?

I have never heard of that before. I am currently pregnant and have been drinking a lot of pineapple juice. I would think if it was for acidity than lemons or other more acidic fruits would be banned, not pineapple. I have only heard good things about pineapple in general. It is one of the number one fruits to aid in digestion, which I think would be great for pregnancy.

Ofcourse, It is not good for the Foetus when had in excess.
But I'm not sure about the reasons you were told.
What I have heard about pineapple in pregnant woment is that, pineapple increase the body heat so much that it might affect the womb.
About the sharpy and rough nature... etc etc... not sure. Is it not digested???
